Meet tHE Faculty
Dr. Innocentus Alhamis Hi! My name is Dr. Innocentus Alhamis, a Professor at the Department of Managerial Science, School of Business, SNHU. My specialty is in Operations Management, teaching Business Analytics, Project Management, and other related courses. Why I chose SNHU I did my Ph.D. studies here at SNHU and had an opportunity to teach while I was a student, and after my studies I left for about three years to teach and work as Director of Graduate Programs at Rivier University, and then I returned back to SNHU as a full-time Professor.
Why I became interested in my field I came from a more analytical background, and therefore I am interested in analyzing data sets by using descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models in ways that can help businesses make data-driven decisions. So, Operations Management for me was the right field to be in. Fun fact You can call me at any time, 24 hrs. if it is necessary to reach me by phone.
Advice for students Contrary to common misconception, Business Analytics is not just for people who like numbers or are good at math or statistics; it is for anyone who can spot trends, patterns, and associations. That means creative and innovative students can and should apply for business analytics courses. Career-wise, business data analytics is a fast-paced, challenging career centered on problem-solving and thinking outside of the box. As a business data analyst, you can help companies to create effective business models, assess business performances and help companies make proper decisions through business analytics tools
