DATING ADVICE WITH...

“Why the hell am I in the issue?”

TED AMELL Interview by Dre and Erica Dre: This new Starfish issue is the ladies issue. Oh, this is the ladies issue is it? Interesting. Why the hell am I in in the issue? Because you are one of the hottest things in snowskating! We think you should give us some dating advice. How do you feel about that? I guess I am O.K with that. Dre: Let’s do it.

Erica: I’ll go first, So when you were on the road in Montana you described a lot of extremely per verse sexual encounters. What is the most per verse act you have preformed? I have performed? I have enjoyed most of them so I wouldn’t really consider them gross. Accept for maybe the fat chicks. Dre: Tell us about that?

gling with it can you help me out a little bit?

“Fat chicks are gross.”

Scoop your back foot, You gotta push like Fat chicks are gross. ing for the Starfish down and for ward with your back foot Inter view? to get it to pop up. Dre: Alright next Un huh. I mean question Ted. What Dre: What should I do granted I wasn’t sure technics would you with my upper body? what to expect at advise our readers for all but this was not Should I put it over picking up girls? what I was expectmy front foot? ing. Defiantly threw I’ve never really been Yeah, a little bit. You me for a loop here. that good at it. So, I have too push forwouldn’t do what I do ward into the ollie so Alright we weren’t because that doesn’t that it will stay with trying to rattle you work. to much just a little. you. Dre; Ted you are really good at the Ollie what is your technique? I am strug-

Hey Ted, is this a little Yeyeyes. You were! different than what I recently got hurt you were expect-

while snowboarding and that sucked. That is because you had bindings on. What is the worst injury you have had as a snowskater? My worst one would be at Bonzer’s House last year and that sucked. Elaborate. When me, Jake and

Hurlbut were ollieing off of Bonzer’s roof into this little tranny, if you can call it that. I ended up postholing my left leg all the way down to my knee and it just turned like 90 degrees to the side it was not pretty. It still hurts. Could you explain you technique for picking up the girl at the Dollar Store in Whitefish Montana?

“I put that on there to give to a stripper” No. I just gave her my phone number that is That’s not an answer? all I did. Bull shit. That was all I did. What was the number on Ted?

I still have that Rocker ad I put that on there to give to a stripper, but we never went to a strip club.

A stripper? I still have that Starfish the April issue from last year. With the Rocker Ad? That’s the one. What did you do to the rocker ad? I signed it and I put my phone number on it.

Perfect that is what we are looking for kinda classy. Yeah but I still have it though. Yeah that sucks. Erica: So do chicks dig snowskating? I would think so... Do you think they dig Lib or Ralston More?

“If you rip on a skate then you rip on a skate.” Lib or Ralston? Well, right now I would have to say Lib I still haven’t gotten a Ralston. We are trying to help out all of the single guys. Do chicks dig guys on

I don’t think it really matters. If you rip on a skate then you rip on a skate. So, on your way to Boston did a hooker steal your starter?

No, actually she didn’t as a matter of fact. I forgot I put it on the roof of the Dolphin to hold the tarp down. That is bad ass... Oh, this is a good one.. Did you get laid as a direct result of winning the Olympics? Well, that would have happened regardless, but yeah

I guess so. I have got to win the Olympics this year.

Yeah. I was Fucked up on

So tell us about what type of girls you like. What is your type? My type? Yeah you know like; Lift Operators, Ski Patrol, Girls with short black hair and big boobs? Short black hair definitely, I actually recently found one that doesn’t have big boobs but I like them anyway. Alright we need some direct pick up techniques. Jess, is this years cover girl any advice for picking up a girl like Jess? Would you beat up the other guys around her?

Have I tried doing that before?

Primordia Name: Cory M. Lipomi (Abhominal) DOB: January 25th, 1987 Location: Southern NH Years riding: On a snowskate, 1 season, But I have been riding snowboards for 15 years Hobbies: Snowboarding, Skateboarding, and Music (concerts, jamming, ect ect) Sponsors: Maple Wax Gear: Lib Tech It was probably one of the coolest things, an actually snowskate. Now I remember seeing them in the old ccs catalogs, but never in real life. But while working at a Ski Resort in Southern NH (Crotched Mtn) one of the instructors Steven Bourdelais had a couple snowskates. He had the Lib tech snowskate, which is what I now ride, and I fell in love with it immediately. I stepped on it, and right away I was a little sketched out, but after a couple runs, I was on the peak. It seemed like this snowskate came pretty easy to me. But then again, I have also been riding skateboards for about 11 years and snowboarding for about 15years. But now I got something new to do. And I love it.

Now after just 1 season of riding my skate around with friends at the mtn. I'm hitting gaps, rainbow rails, c-box, flat rails, and doing some nasty pre-grabs. It was pretty much love at first site, or first ride. Now every chance I get I'm out riding. Trying new shit every day, going bigger every chance I get.

"I never snowboarded."

Name: Steven Bourdelais (Lakeside) DOB: October 5th, 1993 Location: Southern NH Years Riding: 3 years on a skate, 10 on skis, and I never snowboarded. Hobbies: Snowskating Sponsors: None yet, but looking to be a rep for anyone if they want one on the East Coast: Gear: Chiller, FPS, GNU Toronto, Lib Tech 43",

I"ve seen snowskates at Crotched before, but thought nothing of it, until I was at Mt Sunapee and saw someone ride up, grind some stairs near the lodge, and ride away. Bought one that night for 100$ off CCS. Taught my self with no other board riding experience and rode for a year. The second year, I got a lib, which helped a lot. And this year, I increased my collection to a big 4 with a GNU Toronto, Chiller FPS or Ralston

48", Lib Tech, This year was my second year working as a ski instructor at Crotched Mountain. The first year, my push for snowskating got nowhere, but this year, it was different. I would go to training, and once that was over, grab my skate and go ride. Many of the newbies looked at me weirdly, but were curious. I got one guy to try it, and he seemed to like it. A few more caught on. One guy stopped me while I was on the slopes, someone I don"t work with, and asked about skates and where he could get one. I told him about Pluto Sports, and he bought their Ohio. Now, he rips down the blacks without a second thought (though he can last half a day at best he's old). One day, I came in on a Sat, and saw my skate was in a different place, and seemed to have been ridden. Turns out, Cory took it out till 11pm the night before, and was in love with it. Since then, I've gotten many people interested in skating, and sometimes, I don't have enough to go around. One day, my boss confronted me and Cory, and asked us to develop a snowskate instruction program. That has been what we have been working on since then. Speaking of which, find me on the forums, and please, if you have any snowskate instruction information, please send me some. It has really been catching on, and by next year, we should have a program going, maybe rentals. Peace out.

S

nowskate is growing fast, a sports now have an international interest. From skateboard, snowboarder & surfer how see us on our local resort passing them on the slopes. Throw Internet, the wonderful wed site snowskaters.net I got to a lot of new friends meet. That wed site as well is a good way to keep up with all the news board design & trick tips. The first dude a got to chat & ride with how came with a crew it was a blast. It was barontieri: the bros is from France; we did have the best time riding. He came to Vancouver to work on the movie Thron 2 Legacy. Now he helps Mark at Chiller Decks with board graphic.

The second was Jordan Armstrong our Web Master how got the chance to spend 2 days in the whistler backcountry having great snow condition and Chocolate bowl for him self. After t wo days of practice, he went to the snowskate Olympic at Hurricane Ridge in Port Angels and wan the powder downhill 2009.

“Web Master how got the chance to spend 2 days in the whistler backcountry having great snow condition

This year the third was Jon from Hawaii old school surfer / skater how had a big interests in to snowskate. For an old school dude he was killing it, they have a big lack of snow down in Hawaii but he manage and loved it. During the period of the 2010 winter If this photos was at all legible you would clearly see Benoit with some surfer named Jon.

Olympic I was the only snowskater around got to ride with RCMP officer with there guns They pull me over for snowskating in public. No ticket was issued. For the first time I was treated with respect, It was all in good Fun… For the last year I have been trying for to get snowskate involved in the Grenade

“For the first time I was treated with respect, It was all in good Fun…” Games Six & at the TELUS World Ski & Snowboard Festival 2010 here in Whistler B.C. But I got denied for both events. The marking company how deals with those event. Told me that they’re no room for a sport

with out money. They ask me found 52 G & I could get the help from only one sponsor that they choose. Only four riders would ride one jump. After understanding it was impossible and they where not

friendly in regards of our sports. Like Jake says so well fuck Burton. History repeat it self. But Whistler B.C. Canada is an openminded resort as long you ride off the chairs you can go anywhere. As one of the best resort in North America ill invite every one to ride here. Come along.

CHRIS BECK UPDATE On April 6th 2010 Chris Beck (Squirrel) suffered a massive Heart attack while riding at Snoqualmie Pass. Chris’s Heart stopped for 28 minutes and at the time of this printing he was still in some kind of Hypothermic coma like state. Starfish and the T-Bagging Bandits are organizing some kind of fund raising benefit concert at “The Still” in Seattle to raise money for Chris’s pregnant girlfriend and their unborn child. The dates will be announced on www.facebook. com/starfishmag.
