Beth Ann Mock The game of roulette is a leisurely gift from the French. America has put their own spin on it. Roulette wheels in the United States feature a 00; the French parlors do not have this number. There are only a few French wheels available for play in the states. You should only seek them out if you are a high-rolling whale, as they require much bigger minimum bets. American odds favor the house far more than French wheels do. It is a hard game to beat, but very fun to play. With only about forty spins an hour, roulette allows you to bet at a more relaxed pace. The ball is thrown in the opposite direction that the wheel is spinning toward. Wait for the ball to stop moving and land in a box number. Then read it and weep, or celebrate if you win. You can keep betting right up to the second the ball is dropping. The dealer will then call out no more bets. so6ix.com | APRIL 2013

but this is probably good as it gives you the chance to iron out issues that have been long standing, especially with your employer.

TAURUS (APRIL 20 - MAY 20) Your sexuality is at a peak this month with Mars and Venus giving you energy and vitality. You want to do things that you have not done before and this could lead you into uncharted territory. Try to be clear about what you want. You may be clearer about your moral obligations after the 15th when Venus enters your Sun sign. An unexpected financial opportunity could also present itself after the 24th.

GEMINI (MAY 21 - JUNE 20) The month commences with a high degree of intensity and you need to understand that sometimes you simply have to let go and not try to control things too much. Work matters will distract you from this after the 6th and some good profitability can be expected after this time as well. Behind the scenes activities are spotlighted, so take care of business at home before offering to do too much elsewhere. Health matters may also need to be checked. Don't delay.

CANCER (JUNE 21 - JULY 22) Career is the focus this month and once again the unknown could shake, rattle and roll you a little. LEO (JULY 23 - AUGUST 22) You'll re-evaluate your ideals and even perhaps your moral principles in April. In the second half of the month you may have the opportunity to travel or at least deal with people in faraway places. A friend may perhaps return or friendship that was waning can be revived. Mars in the upper part of your horoscope indicates an excellent time to make headway in your profession.

VIRGO (AUGUST 23 - SEPTEMBER 22) You continue to excel in your work and feel confident in the way you are attacking your specific tasks. Jupiter offers luck and your research will yield good results now. Focus on your savings, tax and other financial issues, especially after the 15th. You are probably overlooking some of your past spending indiscretions and as you know well, the credit card statement doesn't come for a month or so after the damage has been done.

cocktail as far as relationships are concerned. You will be innovative, wanting change and may do something drastic that will surprise everyone, even yourself. The new moon this month heralds a dramatic shift in this part of your life. For businessmen and women this can be extended to business partnerships as well.

SCORPIO (OCTOBER 23 - NOVEMBER 21) A new romance in the workplace is likely for singles but for those of you who are hitched in a relationship there may be some tension associated with too much work and not enough quality time for each other. Better times ahead are indicated in this respect after the 10th with some passionate times between the 12th and 15th.

SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 22 - DECEMBER 21) The New Moon in your zone of love affairs is a testimony to the energy you are injecting into this area of your life, particularly this month. You may feel frustrated by someone’s responses to your overtures.

your zone of domestic issues and these planets being in difficult aspect to Pluto, this area of your life will need some serious attention especially after the 7th. Make yourself available for family members who are having difficulties as this will spill over into the lives of other individuals in your domestic sphere.

AQUARIUS (JANUARY 20 - FEBRUARY 18) You need to escape just now and could feel frustrated by the demands of your employer or workplace. Uranus, the Sun, Venus and Mars challenge your sense of commitment. Balancing work and pleasure will be your challenge just now. Excellent opportunities to resolve some of your problems occur after the 25th but the time leading up to this may be less than satisfactory for you.

PISCES (FEBRUARY 19 - MARCH 20) Try not to be too impulsive as Mars and Venus may cause you to tastelessly do things you’ll regret later. Wait until the 15th if you need to sign a contract as this will be favorable for you. An eclipse occurs in your zone of long journeys and this may reveal something to you about someone afar. Your relationship with your father may also need to be explored. so6ix.com | APRIL 2013

JENSEN SMITH Jensen Smith graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree in public relations in May of 2012. Jensen describes herself as a proud Oklahoman who is passionate about people, traveling and learning. Currently, she is a graduate fellow at Saxum, an integrated marketing communications agency in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Saxum is a full-service agency offering advertising, public relations and digital services to help clients elevate their brand and reputation. Saxum is full of strategic thinkers who generate awareness and demand for brands, people and causes – and they are bold. As a graduate fellow, Jensen provides support on the various accounts to which she is assigned and work closely with the account director to provide quality, innovative and strategic solutions that drive results for Saxum's clients. Jensen has included one of her favorite quotes. One she found on the back of a coffee cup. “The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating – in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.”- Anne Morriss 60
