Divided we Stand Do you recall Aesop’s fable: The Four Oxen and the Lion? It went something like this: A lion used to prowl about a field in which four oxen dwelt. Many a me he tried to a ack them, but whenever he came near they turned their tails to one another, so that whichever way he approached them he was met by the horns of one of them. At last, however, they fell a‐quarrelling among themselves, and each went off to pasture alone in a separate corner of the field. Then the lion a acked them one by one and soon made an end of all. The analogy fits with the recent referendum outcome, for me, Steve, at least. It has always seemed that we’re stronger and safer when we unite. Some of my favourite memories of childhood are from those mes when I joined with my mates, my cousins or my Boy’s Brigade comrades. Collec vely we could achieve more, afford be er trips and ou ngs, build stronger dens, play be er games with more players and teams. Everyday in the news we hear the atroci es of man against man; and then on the other hand of how country helps country through bad mes. The turmoil created in the United Kingdom in the a ermath of the “Leave” vote felt like we’d have to face the future like the ox facing the lion, all alone, especially if each country within Britain goes it alone as well. But I have faith in human nature, in the ability of ordinary folk to do the right thing ‐ whatever that is ‐ work out their differences, find a way to live in peace and prosperity with our nearest neighbours, and even though we appear to be a divided na on at the moment, we’ll pull together to create a pathway that leads to a be er future. In the mean me, life goes on, Soar Valley Life goes on, from strength to strength ‐ another record issue ‐ and, perhaps, it is when we are divided and facing up to our challenges that we find our greatest strengths. See you in the fall… well September anyway!

Flowers Make us Feel Be er

I love cu ng flowers from my garden; picking a homegrown bunch to brighten a room or give to a friend is so rewarding! Whether you give them a dedicated space or mix them into a border display it is easy to raise lots of flowers for a constant supply of fresh blooms. Growing your own cut flowers is a win win, you will know they haven't clocked up great transport distances and your flowers will provide a vital place to feed for pollina ng insects. To prolong vase life try adding your own homemade cut flower food: to one litre of water add a tablespoon of vinegar, a teaspoon of sugar and three drops of household bleach, then s r the water thoroughly before adding the flowers. Now is the time of year to really have fun in the garden with your barbecue techniques.

It’s quick and simple and makes the perfect crusty base!

Grilling is equally as rewarding on gas as it is on charcoal barbecues and there is no end to the delightful flavours that can be achieved with a little experimenting.

Also this season is ideal for stocking your garden pond with fresh new water lilies and marginal plants and maybe adding one or two more fish to create the perfect relaxed setting.

Different flavours can be achieved with all types of meat using the various ranges of Weber smoking chips and chunks such as hickory or mesuite.

Golden orfe and comet goldfish are the ideal addition to any pond as they can live in most sizes and are a joy to watch when they come up to feed.

Why not try making a classic Italian style pizza on your barbecue using the Weber® Original™ GBS® Pizza Stone.

The other thing to think about is your garden furniture and how to protect it in our inclement climes!

Covers are available to suit all shapes and sizes of outdoor living sets; alternatively, if you are looking to renew your set of patio furniture, the fantastic all weather technology of the Westminster garden furniture range enables it all to be left outside all year round, so that you can enjoy your garden as soon as the sun comes out without the need for removing covers or retrieving cushions from the garage. Summer is a time to really embrace the outdoors and whether you have just a back yard or acres to play with there is something to suit everyone when it comes to outdoor living.

Alan Dayman’s Gardening Care for your perennials

Perennials are flowering plants that are meant to last ‐ for several years at least, some mes much longer. So, ideally, they’re a wise and prac cal one‐ me investment, unlike the annuals you have to buy and replant every year, and therein lies their appeal and value. They look be er with a li le grooming, but don’t feel you have to fuss over them constantly. Just remove dead or damaged stems, wayward ones or ones that are crowding others. The same thing goes for foliage that doesn’t look good. Always clip or snap off stems at ground level, and pinch off smaller branching stems or individual leaves. Make a habit of deadheading or grooming your perennials every me you walk by. Toss the faded flowers on the compost pile, or bring your clippers along and cut bouquets while the flowers are s ll in their prime ‐ cu ng fresh flowers has the same effect as deadheading. Summer is the best me to groom as new growth soon hides your cuts and fills in with new foliage. Diagrams on the le show that plant supports do more than support: they can also help them grow be er and produce more blooms.

Tips For Perennials Dividing Perennials

1. Firstly dig up the clump taking care to get as much of it as possible without damage. The first foot of soil has most of the root in it and the root’s mass will usually be the diameter of the plant plus 3 to 6 inches beyond. 2. Cut or break the clump into two or more divisions, each with an obvious growing point

and some roots. Leave some soil around the roots to protect the root hairs. 3. Replant the new pieces, some in the same spot and others perhaps elsewhere in the garden. Water the divisions in well and look in on them regularly ‐ new smaller plants will become vigorous and generate.

Two different methods for dividing a perennial. The method on the right is best for plants with thick or dense root structures

Nicky Morgan MP We’ve had lots of exci ng opening events locally in the past few weeks. I was delighted to cut the ribbon for the new Waitrose in Mountsorrel. There were lots of very keen shoppers ready and wai ng for the 8am opening and I understand the store has been trading well ever since. The store is not only providing 60 new jobs but also offers support to local chari es and organisa ons. We’ve also seen the opening of the new Cineworld in Loughborough and several of the restaurants in the new complex – including Pizza Express which was packed when I popped in. And in a sign of the posi ve impact new businesses can have we’ve also seen the opening of a new Indian restaurant, Ryan’s, opposite the Baxtergate Development.

It is always a huge privilege to a end the annual TwentyTwenty celebra on evening. TwentyTwenty do a fantas c job suppor ng young people who have dropped out of educa on or are at risk of dropping out. Every year we hear inspira onal stories by those who par cipate in their schemes such as Love for Life and those who are involved in the mentoring. Everyone involved is changing lives and helping par cipants to find their way in life. It is also a great pleasure to a end the annual 3M Young Innovators Challenge awards evening. We know that by 2030 there will be another 1 million science‐related jobs in the UK and we need to engage and inspire pupils to think about the opportuni es available to them. The standard of entries gets higher every year and as well as thanking 3M for their con nuing support I think it is also right to recognise the support of the teachers and parents of those entering the challenge. There have been lots of events to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. It was a great honour to a end the official thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral as well as a ending a number of local par es. And it was great to get all the red, white and blue bun ng out again!

How to get Paid: Simple Strategies to Help Secure Payment The need to obtain payment for goods and services may be obvious, yet many businesses could do more to maximise recovery. By implemen ng the following, businesses can increase their prospects of securing prompt and proper payment, aiding cash flow. • Have wri en terms and condi ons that s pulate the consequences of late, or non‐payment, such as interest or fixed sums. If your contractual terms are silent on these issues, the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 may come to your aid, and allow you to claim interest (at 8% above base rate) and up to £100 per unpaid invoice. • Consider breaking the supply ‐ of goods or services ‐ into phases, invoicing at the end of each phase. If your client or customer fails to se le an invoice on me, consider whether to start work on the next phase, and think about reques ng a payment on account of future work. • Ensure terms and condi ons are incorporated ‐ avoid the trap of prin ng them on the reverse of

an invoice that is submi ed a er the contract has been performed. This will o en be too late for your client/customer to be bound by them. • Diarise payment due dates and ensure you have an effec ve credit control procedure in place. If your terms and condi ons state that payment is due within 30 days, nudge for payment as close as possible to day 31. Of course, the tone of the nudge can be amicable, but it is important nevertheless to send a clear message that adherence to payment terms is required. • Use credit reference agencies. This is par cularly useful for new clients and customers, so that you can gauge the risk of doing business with them, and nego ate payment terms accordingly. Even a quick search of Companies House data will help give you a steer. If you are experiencing difficulty in securing payment from customers/clients, or would like advice on dra ing or implemen ng contractual terms, contact Nick Gay: N.Gay@moss-solicitors.co.uk or Laura Anderson: L.Anderson@moss-solicitors.co.uk

Preheat the oven to 180/fan 160C/Gas 4. Grease a 33cm x 23cm Swiss roll n and line the base and sides with lightly greased baking paper. Place the eggs and 150g of the caster sugar in a bowl set over a pan of simmering water and whisk with an electric whisk un l the mixture is very pale and thick (see p). Remove from the heat and con nue whisking un l the mixture leaves a trail when the whisk is li ed. Si the flour over the mixture and fold in gently with a metal spoon. Pour the mixture into the prepared n and lt the n to level the surface. Bake for 20‐25 minutes un l golden and just firm to the touch.

Ingredients: • 5 large eggs • 165g caster sugar

Invert the roulade out onto a sheet of baking paper dusted with the rest of the sugar. Cover with a clean damp tea towel and leave to cool completely. Whip the cream in a large bowl un l so ly peaking. Scoop the seeds and flesh from the passion fruit and fold into the cream. Peel the mango and cut a few thin slices to decorate the roulade; finely chop the rest. Remove the paper lining from the roulade and trim the edges. Spread the passion fruit cream over the sponge and top with the chopped mango.

• 4 tbsp plain flour • 300ml double cream • 2 passion fruit • 1 small ripe mango

Tip

Using the sugared paper as a guide, roll up the roulade from one short end. Transfer to a serving pla er and decorate with the reserved mango slices just before serving.

The trick to a really light and fluffy fatless sponge is to whisk the mixture over the simmering water for at least 7‐8 minutes to incorporate as much air as possible, and to fold in the flour very gently to avoid knocking out too much air.

Re-live the Glory Days of Motown in the Soar Valley Back for a fi h year, Wicked Hathern Fest brings you a great family day out packed with live entertainment, from local bands as well as comedians and char ng ar sts, with headliner Martha Reeves and the Vandellas topping the whole weekend off. Martha and the Vandellas recorded throughout the Six es for Motown’s Gordy label, char ng 24 R&B hits, and became one of the company’s most successful touring acts. As female ar sts at Motown, they were outshone only by Diana Ross and the Supremes, with whom they competed for resources and a en on. When the company moved west in 1971, Martha and the Vandellas parted ways with Motown. They performed a farewell concert in Detroit, and Reeves embarked on a solo career with the big‐budget album Martha Reeves in 1974. Martha and the Vandellas regrouped toward the end of the Seven es, and the group received a boost when the Motown 25th anniversary TV special aired in 1983. Martha and the Vandellas con nue to perform, enduring as

one of the most visible reminders of Motown’s glory days. The main stage will host Martha Reeves and the Vandellas on the Saturday night plus other special guests Dodgy and top talent from local bands ‐ including We Tried Kylie, The Likes and many more. Dodgy were only together for seven years but in that me they sold over a million records worldwide, released three albums and 12 Top 40 singles, including Staying Out for the Summer, In a Room, If You’re Thinking of Me and the Top 5 hit Good Enough, s ll a staple of the radio playlists. Dodgy’s comeback album from 4 years ago was a long me coming, 15 years to be precise since their double pla num selling ‘Free Peace Sweet’, but since the release of Stand Upright In A Cool Place in 2012, Dodgy haven’t really stopped. Live gigs and fes val appearances have always been an important part of the Dodgy experience and for many they are the perfect fes val band. But that’s not all, there’s also the acous c and comedy stages and Launch Night which are set to blow your socks off. With ar sts across the board from The Catalogues, Tee Dymond and TV’s Nick Page to comedy musician Duncan Oakley, it’s all set to be another hit year for WHF. There's plenty to do for all the family, with a huge area of free ac vi es, games, and bouncy castles for the kids, overnight camping facili es for those wan ng to stay with us for the weekend, fully licensed bar within the comedy and acous c tent, well

stocked cocktail bar, plus top quality food vendors to feed your appe tes throughout the day. New for 2016 is a new improved kids area, featuring their very own stage where they can meet some VERY special guests. The campsite is now open for TWO nights ‐ Friday & Saturday, and we can also cater for campervans. Following 2015's VIP Night on the Friday evening, 2016 welcomes our new Launch Party, open to everyone and featuring a line up of live music, comedians and acous c acts. New Dream Doors showroom brings kitchen makeovers to Leicestershire Kitchen makeover retailer has opened its doors in Loughborough, in a gala ceremony that saw Nicky Morgan, Member of Parliament for Loughborough cut the ribbon to officially open the new showroom. The opening came during three days of celebra ons that included wine‐tas ng of Bradgate, an interna onally‐renowned wine with a local connec on, canapes and hundreds of interested customers, all keen to take a closer look at the kitchen makeover services on offer. “It was a privilege to officially open the new Dream Doors Showroom in Loughborough,” said Nicky Morgan, Member of Parliament for Loughborough. “It was interes ng to hear Colm's plans for the future and to see this wonderful new showroom and I look forward to seeing Colm and his team going from strength to strength.” The new Dream Doors Leicestershire showroom is located just outside Loughborough on the A6 at 78 Leicester Road, with two hours free local parking opposite. Local resident and franchise owner Colm Doherty believes the combina on of local exper se backed by a na onal brand will prove hugely popular with the residents of Leicestershire. “I've lived in the area for more than 20 years and I'm delighted to say we are already crea ng employment opportuni es,” he said. “Our fi ers are all local and I am looking forward to establishing the showroom as a high quality local business, helped with all the support that comes from being part of a na onal retail chain.” Dream Doors is the UK's leading kitchen makeover company, and has a presence on high streets all across the country. It transforms old and red kitchens by replacing doors, worktops and drawer fronts, for a frac on of the cost of a full kitchen re‐fit, and completed with minimum disrup on in an average of just 48 hours.

Page 32

Colm has spent much of his career in a variety of customer‐focused roles, including s nts running both BMW and Mercedes‐Benz car dealerships. Dream Doors MD, Troy Tappenden believes there will be a major demand for kitchen makeovers in Leicestershire: “There's increasing consumer interest in kitchen makeover services. People love their kitchen and want it to look good, but cannot face the disrup on, mess and hassle that comes with a full re‐fit. Colm's career has seen him excel in a number of customer‐focused roles, and with his experience and local knowledge combined with our proven model, the way is set for him to become one of our leading franchisees.” As well as its kitchen makeover service, Dream Doors will also design and fit an en re new kitchen, as well as offering a host of white goods and appliances. Every single one of its replacement doors are made‐ to‐measure and of the highest quality, meaning even the oldest and unusual kitchens can be updated. “Prior to the showroom opening I have been trading from my home office and business has been great, so I am looking forward to transforming even more kitchens now the showroom is open,” he said. “I've secured an excellent loca on that comes with free parking opposite, and the showroom doors are now open to all!”

Colm is offering Soar Valley Life readers 20% off orders un l 31st August 2016. Customers pay 50% deposit and pay the balance only when they are completely sa sfied.

Childrens’ Eye Health Long and Short-sightedness The light coming into the eye needs to be focused on the back of the eye (the re na) for you to see clearly. Some people have eyes that are too short, which means the light focuses behind the re na causing long‐sightedness. Other people have eyes that are too long, so the light focuses in front of the re na causing short‐sightedness. This means that they cannot see things clearly if they are far away from them, such as TV or board at school. Seborrhoeic Keratosis These domed or plate-like growths tend to increase with age, hence the outdated term “senile wart”. They are not warts and, rather than being viral, are the result of excessive growth of epidermal (skin) cells...

Extensive seborrhoeic keratosis

A er removal using advanced electrolysis

Although the exact cause is not known, they tend to be more common in sunlight exposed areas. Their surface can vary from slightly rough to very hard and crusty with colour ranging from pale to very dark brown. They can be from a few millimetres to several cen metres across and some mes they can become sore or itchy.

Many people feel they are highly disfiguring and will conceal them with clothing whenever possible. Since they are usually raised, concealing those on the face with make‐up is rarely successful. At one me they could be removed on the NHS, generally by cryotherapy (freezing), but this is now very rare

as these benign growths are considered only to be a cosme c issue, not a medical one. Advanced electrolysis is an excellent treatment for removal of these blemishes and generally leaves li le or no evidence of the defect. Once healing is complete the skin is flat and so .

Power Napping - A Secret to Success I recently read an ar cle about power napping by Stress Management Coach Leanna Friedrich which I found very interes ng and so I thought I would share it with you. She says that power napping is one of the most powerful tools you can use to take care of your health, your career and your life. It is especially good for those who find it difficult to sleep as not sleeping can impact your health, your mood, produc vity and crea vity. That’s where napping comes to the rescue as research shows that short naps (10‐15 minutes) will give you a power boost that will get you through the day with clarity and focus. Some forward thinking companies that have created napping rooms found that it increased workers produc vity, competence, and focus and reduced their sick days. However most companies do not have napping rooms so you will need to create your own. Leanne uses her car. She packs a blanket an iPod with a selec on of peaceful music and then reclines her chair and naps for 15 minutes at lunch me. Easy! Why not try it! Paula Reed

What do Coaches do anyway? A great ques on I get asked frequently. The answer – Ask Great Ques ons! A bit of a cop out? Absolutely not. Without fully understanding what a business owner wants to achieve for himself and his family and when - how do we know where to take his business? The coaching program for a business owner and his team, if the focus is purely profit maximisa on, is different to a programme designed to create freedom by reducing working hours to a couple of hours a week. What does your business look like when it is finished? Many business owners a end on a daily basis with li le thought of what their business is really worth and if their skill sets can be used in a different way to achieve their goals.

This is the difference between coaching and consul ng. These are not short term fixes but a long term educa on process using your current business as the case study. Coaching will give you the tools to run any business successfully with minimum stress. Star ng with the end in mind is vital, as is clarity on what good looks like. Bringing control to cash flow, customer experience, me management and clarifying des na on come first, followed by making the most of your exis ng sales tools, developing a USP and targe ng growth. The Ac on Coach approach has improved over 700,000 businesses over the last 25 years. So here is another great ques on – when is the best me to start a coaching program to understand and achieve your personal dreams and business goals? The answer – yesterday.

And Another Thing... by Tom Hughes Follow Tom on Twi er @groomsdaybook

A er working so hard on her GCSEs, Hannah deserved a reward. A slap up meal with some of her mates perhaps? I decided to consult Sarah for guidance. The look on her face told me that my reasoning was completely off beam. How had I managed to stagger through to my early middle years without exposure to that most terrible of transatlan c imports ‐ The Prom? “Tom, it’s a very important milestone in a girl’s life.” “Yes but she didn’t go to Rydell High and her name’s not Sandra Dee.” “Don’t be silly, now jump in, we’re off to chose the dress.” “I can’t believe my opinion is of any value.” “It isn’t, but you’re paying.” Unconvinced, I eased the Mondeo into town. Eventually we arrived outside a compact bou que catering for tastes that were dis nctly sophomoric. Upon entering I was immediately overwhelmed by chiffon and silk. Gingerly I fingered a price tag. The figures swam before my eyes. I was approached by a formidable woman spor ng sparkly spectacles secured around her neck by means of a gold chain. Concerned that she might have seen me balk at the price and afraid of appearing a miser I said, “This one looks lovely. That’s my daughter over there; will you have it in her size?” The woman flipped on her specs and gawped at the Apple Of My Eye, then at the dress. “Yes we have her size. Which school is she at?” “Rydell ‐ sorry, Rainford High.” The smartly dressed lady mo oned for me to follow her to the desk where she licked her

Page 46

finger and then ran it firmly down a list. Snapping off her gigs she looked me in the eye and without hesita on said, “No.” “No what?” I asked. “No. You cannot buy that dress for your daughter.” “Why not?” “Because of the school she goes to.” I felt my hackles rise. “Madam, I cannot believe that in this day and age, what school you a ended is any impediment to free choice. Why am I being discriminated against?” At this point Sarah intervened. “Tom we’ve found the dress. Here, look.” And then from behind a curtain appeared Hannah ‐ a vision of blossoming beauty. I turned to the proprietress. “Now Madam, I know we are from lowly stock but my Uncle Henry is on first name terms with the Headmaster so I’m sure if he put in a good word…” “Tom, it’s got nothing to do with that. It’s so girls from the same school don’t turn up in the same dress. Now, the shoes. Hannah, go and show him your shoes.” Hannah disappeared and, a er a pause, to ered back into view wearing a strange pair of gli ering s lts. “Now Tom, aren’t they gorgeous!” “Where’s this prom being held? Billy Smart’s Circus? And how on earth are you supposed to walk in those?” My nemesis with the gli ering glasses interjected, “Oh, they’re not for walking in sir, they are what is known as a dinner shoe.” Dinner shoe? Nonplussed, I decided to press on. “I see, so

how much would a pair in which you can actually put one foot in front of the other cost?” “Oh, they would be much cheaper.” It was at this point that I felt my grip on reality slipping away. “Look Tom, let’s just pay and I can talk you through it all later.” Gently, Sarah extracted the wallet from my jacket and helped me over to the card terminal. Safely home (a er a lie down) I was offered a restora ve cup of tea (two sugars). “Right, that’s the Prom Dress sorted. Now we just have to sort out her A er Prom dress.” I jumped up and ran behind the sofa. From the safety of my temporary redoubt I said, “I don’t have to go back there again do I?” “No Tom, relax, we’ll sort that out.” “And then is that it?” “Yes. Apart from the A er Prom party.” “Now I’ve heard of them, is that where a load of giggly drunk teenagers descend on some poor parents house and trash it?” “Come on Dad,” said Hannah, “we won’t trash anything, promise.” “Now Tom, don’t worry, leave everything to us, and stop crying...”

water and they are forced to take on an almost ver cal posi on in order to stay afloat.

• Take some new or favourite floa ng toys, plus treats for when they come out.

Although swimming is one of the best exercises for your dog, as well as being a fun ac vity, not all dogs take well to swimming, and some are literally unable to swim due to their physiology.

Other breeds such as Labradors take to the water with a li le too much enthusiasm at mes, and it can seem impossible to get them out.

If you can paddle alongside your dog, they’ll find it comfor ng at first, and of course plenty of treats will help. Although good exercise for your dog, swimming is also meant to be fun, so if they don’t take to it quite as enthusias cally as you’d hoped, it might be advisable to stay in the shallows and just let them paddle.

The short muzzle on bulldogs and pugs, for example, makes it very difficult to keep their nose and mouth above

Page 48

Encouraging your dog to swim But if you have a reluctant swimmer on your hands, how can you persuade them to take the plunge? • Choose a warm day, and calm water with no waves or currents. • Try to find a gentle slope down into the water, so your dog doesn’t fall in unexpectedly. • Make sure they know how to get back out again, to avoid panic.

Go Everywhere under the Sun with Kia Tim Peake, the most travelled Briton in history, returns to Earth On 18 June 2016, Tim Peake returned to earth from the Interna onal Space Sta on aboard the descent module of the Soyuz spacecra that had taken him to the space sta on in December 2015. The spacecra landed on the Kazakh steppe in Kazakhstan almost 300 miles south west of the major city of Karaganda, landing at 10.15 Bri sh Standard Time. Tim Peake had spent 186 days in space and completed approximately 3000 orbits of the Earth, covering a distance of 125 million kilometres (78 million miles). Tim said on his first news broadcast from the ISS in December last year “Life up here is absolutely spectacular ... amazing view of Earth ... way beyond my expecta on.” It will take Tim up to two years to get back to normality a er being weightless for six months.

The Naked Eye Planets August: Jupiter and Venus are too close to the Sun to be visible this month but you might catch them on the western horizon around sunset with binoculars. In the late evening in the south west Mars blazes away at Mag ‐ 0.5 with Saturn about half its brightness at mag + 0.5; they both set just before midnight. The maximum of The Perseid Meteor Shower occurs on August the 11th/12th. Always a reliable and prolific shower and could be even more spectacular this year as we pass through the Swi ‐Tu le Orbits that occurred in 1479 and 1862. September: Jupiter is again too close to the Sun, but Venus gradually moves upwards in the dusk twilight and beams at mag ‐ 3.8 as the brilliant Evening Star, se ng at 8 pm. Mars and Saturn will be low in the evening sky to the south‐west, se ng in the constella on of Orphiuchus at around 10 pm. During the last week of September scour the south‐eastern horizon for Mercury just before dawn, pu ng on its best display this year and shining at mag ‐ 0.5 on 28th September.

You’ll need to book it quickly though as it’s on a first come first served basis. We have a lot of capacity and it would be brilliant to find more businesses to serve in our busy Soar Valley. I know a lot of them go to the likes of Waitrose or Tesco for their working lunches but you can bet that ours are fresher, have more variety and would probably cost you less. We serve on hotel quality crockery and cutlery too, if that’s what you’d like. So, un l September 1st we’re offering a free sample in the way of a business lunch for up to 6 people delivered to your place of work and all we want in return is some feedback as to how good it was.”

I, Steve, spoke to two of Theresa’s regular business customers for some feedback. Rebecca from Qadex at Oak Business Centre in Sileby said: “The food delivered by Theresa at Soar Valley Catering is always beau fully presented, amazingly tasty and fresh, and exceeds expecta ons. We receive great feedback from our delegates and we wouldn't want any other business lunch supplier. Her desserts are to die for too!” Bre Landscaping and Building Products, on Sileby Road in Barrow, regularly use Soar Valley Catering for mee ngs and customer visits; Judi, their recep onist, told me, “All of Theresa’s freshly prepared food is varied, tailormade, delicious, great value and always delivered on me – it’s a brilliant service – we’re delighted to have found her and thoroughly recommend her to anyone.” You can contact Theresa by phone, email or through her brand new website ‐ details below.
