RSEQ (CCAA) News

Hi everyone and welcome to the October issue of the Canadian Soccer Sentinel. It is out earlier than the last few months but still a week too late for my liking. Things are improving slowly though!! This month is a huge one for Canadian Soccer with the Toyota National Championships, Internationals, leagues closing, others in full swing and the college and universities along with other leagues reaching the play off stages. We will, of course, report the scores etc from these matches. We have our items from some of our excellent writers with a breakdown of the latest soccer from the Greater Toronto Area with Rocket Robin, The Tridents UK give their views on the matches Pacific have played while sitting burning the midnight oil in southern England and the always excellent Womxn’s soccer coverage by AC Lang of wsoccer.ca.

We have also unearthed another Canadian side in the UPSL in Chantilly Forever so we are now running their results too. This knowledge came to bear from Berlin playing them in the 1st ever UPSL match to take place on Canadian soil. If you know of any leagues, teams etc that we are not covering please drop us a DM or email to let us know. Also, we have no news from PEI or Manitoba along with the 3 Territories. Please let us know if you have or know of any. Let your local clubs know about us. Tell your friends!! A lot of work goes into this and I would like to think a lot of readers enjoy it. Let us know if you do!!! Once again, if you would like to contribute to the magazine let me know. The BC Leagues are now in full swing and we have all the results etc from the majority of the leagues along with the usual coverage of the VISL courtesy of the always helpful Vince Greco. Also in full swing are the USports and CCAA conferences and we have the results etc from them too. Combine that with our Canucks Abroad section and University and College Commitments pages and our only University playing in the NCAA, Simon Fraser, we have quite a full issue. If you have a club that would like to be in the Club Spotlight please let us know. We haven’t had one for a few months now and it is something that I really would like to start up again. Finally, I apologise for the blank spaces on some of the pages. It’s not something I like but I just have to live with it for now. Also, sorry the hyperlinks aren’t working but issuu wants me to pay for that privilege. If you would like to help out and contribute to us moving in that direction please go to our canadiansha.com site and donate through Patreon. I really would appreciate it. I can’t offer anything other than some recognition for now but it would help me hugely. Thanks for reading and have a great Thanksgiving. All the best
