Hoping you’re all finding inventive ways to stay cool as the summer continues to crank up the heat! We’ve been busy putting together a fresh, fun edition of SOCIALIFE just for you.
Drum roll, please... introducing our new “DID YOU KNOW?” section!
This exciting new feature is all about diving deep into intriguing factoids of the Rio Grande Valley.
We are kick-starting this journey on the Civil War Trail. We’re sure you’ll find this region’s rich history and tales captivating, making your next trivia night a total breeze. If you’re reading our digital edition, make sure to click on the links for more exciting information and videos.
The exciting back-to school season comes with the end of summer (sad face). Whether you’re parents gearing up to send the kids back or students looking forward to the new academic year, we hope you make this transition as smooth as a water slide on a hot day.
And while we’re on the topic of transitions, the end of summer also signals the start of the gala season (and no, we’re not talking about apples!).
I love nothing more than the glitz and glamour that support our non-profit organizations. Stick with us. We’ll make sure you’re always in the know about these exclusive events.
Lastly, I am so happy to shine a light on our
cover story, Emblem of Honor: Robert C. Vackar and Janet Ogden Vackar, and their inspiring spirit of community and compassion.
As you navigate this heat dome, remember – that a chilled beverage, a comfy chair, and our latest edition of SOCIALIFE are the perfect recipe for a casual summer day!
As always, we are incredibly grateful for your continued readership and the community we’re building together.
Stay cool. Stay curious. Stay social.
