Sister City Galactic Celebration

On May 4th, the bi-national orchestra from Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, and McAllen held a concert to celebrate culture, music, and friendship. McAllen International Bridge Systems organized the performance to honor the Sister City Agreement between the two communities. It was a beautiful display of music that brought people together from both sides of the border.
The audience of over 300 was captivated by the performance of talented high school musicians from both communities. Special attendees included McAllen Mayor Javier Villalobos, Apodaca Mayor Cesar Garza Villarreal, Nuevo Leon Federal Congressman Andres Cantu, Hidalgo Port Director Carlos Rodriguez, Tamaulipas Mayor Nataly Garza Diaz, Commissioners Rudy Castillo and Joaquin Zamora, and dignitaries of Mexico’s State Department.
