Stewardship Opportunities

Many organizations would LOVE to welcome you to their volunteer program. Quinta Mazatlan offers stewardship programs onsite and off-site at our Tiny Forests around McAllen. Re-foresting is a great way to learn the names of plants and how to plant them properly in your own yard. Volunteer Tuesdays and Thursdays at Quinta Mazatlan starting at 9 AM and Tiny Forest Saturdays on the 4th Saturday of each month.

Convert 10% of Your Lawn to Native Plants

Consider removing some of your turf grass and converting it into small garden beds attracting birds and butterflies. Pollinators and other flower visitors need pollen and nectar throughout their lives. Follow Quinta Mazatlan on social media for announcements on Backyard Habitat Steward workshops, classes, and native plant sales.
