On December 10th, the Gelman Stained Glass Museum held Serenata a La Virgen with Mariachi 7 Leguas—a celebration to honor the Virgen de Guadalupe. Celebrated annually on December 12 as a Catholic feast day and Mexican national holiday, the day honors Mary’s apparition in 1531 to Juan Diego, an Aztec peasant and convert to Christianity. The harmonious blend of music and art, coupled with the cultural importance of the day, created an unforgettable experience. This successful night promises an annual tradition, uniting music, art, and heritage for years to come.
