New Venue for UMASS Dartmouth’s Highly Acclaimed

O

ver the last few years, many literary enthusiasts commented on the sell-out crowds that flocked to the college campus for what may be the most gracious and informative event of its kind found on the SouthCoast of Massachusetts. An event recognized for attracting the best-in-class of writers, and crowds of devotees of the written word, it was evident that the existing space—although massive—was no longer able to accommodate the number of people wishing to attend the prestigious affair. On Sunday, March 29, 2020, the UMASS Author’s Brunch will be held at its new home, the UMASS’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, at 151 Martine Street, Fall River. the banks of the Wattupa Pond, no location could be considered to be more beautiful or convenient, offering easy access from parking to the front door. This new setting is befitting for the three best-selling authors who will present their works to an inspired audience. This year’s presenters are; Barbara Delinsky, Jacquelyn Mitchard, and Steven Manchester. As a preview to what is in store, organizers have announced the upcoming agenda with brief bios and descriptions of each writer’s works. BARBARA DELINSKY

Barbara Delinsky, née Barbara Ruth Greenberg, was born on August 9, 1945, near Boston. When she was eight years old, her mother died from breast cancer. She grew up in a religiously
