Abbazia San Pietro in Monte “As an Ambassador, I have been very fortunate to travel the world and to enjoy some of the grandest sights imaginable. In the privileged world of extraordinary travel, this setting ranks right at the top. In fact, you walk amongst the clouds in rarefied open space with the majesty of nature, the natural beauty of roaming animals, and in midst of all of this the glory of a banquet in a fairy atmosphere inside millenary stone walls, where all details fall in a perfect harmony of elegance, beauty and sobriety. Herein lies a space unique in the world to indelibly carve a niche in memory as entirely EXTRAORDINARY. The scale of space in which to entertain is warm & wondrous, and our service was period perfect. A sight to behold! Thank you Sofia

Imaging transforming fantasy into reality..... tim burton about me 1000e20 Event & Wedding designer Born in Italy 42 years ago from Italian father and French mother I am one of 7 among brothers and sister. I studied languages and worked in many fields, but it was when I started putting my experience, my travel and my professional skills together that it became clear which path I was to take. By the age of 26 I had completed studies and skills in graphic and computer design, visual merchandising, window dressing, fashion shop management, art management and organization, floral decoration, tourism management and hospitality services... and I found myself in a beautiful Villa in Todi (Umbria - Italy) helping actress Julia Ormond planning her own wedding. From that moment on it was most evident what I had to do, what my passion was. No later than 1 year after, in 1999, I opened my agency 1000e20 OneThousandEvents in Todi | Umbria and started producing events mostly for Americans that were coming to Tuscany and Umbria on summer Holidays. I have been lucky enough to build the best team ever in the course of the years. Passion, creativity, the love for challenge, the complicity and the tight collaboration is what moves us everyday and gives us great opportunities to turn the imagination of our clients into reality. Our goal is to ease your thoughts, to help you relax, to entertain and enchant you through all your senses. An invisible guidance to that moment of magic you will treasure forever. Let the result of our genuine, authentic commitment be the realization of your dream

The Hassler sits next to the magnificent 16th century Trinità dei Monti church and the abundant greenery of the Villa Borghese gardens and commands one of the most exclusive views in the world over the churches, domes and rooftops of Rome. Il Pellicano is an exclusive, secluded, resort hotel in a unique and unspoiled location on the Tuscan coast. Uniquely laid out to ensure privacy for its guests whether they stay in cottages or the main building, the hotel proudly offers the finest cuisine and all the amenities a five-star guest could desire. Travel & Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler magazines regularly name Il Pellicano among the top hotels in the world, highlighting the staff's commitment to excellence via friendly and personalized service. Opened on the 2nd of June 1965, Il Pellicano was built to commemorate the love of the British army pilot, Michael Graham, and the American jet setter, Patsy Daszel, who chose this impervious spot on the Argentario peninsula to build a secluded resort reminiscent of Pelican Point, the Californian promontory where they had first met years before. Il Pellicano is located in a spot in which peace and tranquillity reign supreme and still offers dreamlike views of the unspoiled waters of the Tuscan coast. Composed of six cottages and a central structure, Il Pellicano is more a cluster of villas than a traditional hotel, with 35 rooms, 5 junior suites and 10 deluxe suites immersed in a very perfumed Mediterranean scrubland and surrounded with secular gardens of olive trees and cypress which are thrown by one of the biggest architects of gardens in the World: the architect Paolo Pejrone.

BORGO SAN FELICE

RELAIS BORGO SAN FELICE

& Sofia Bianchini

Castelnuovo Berardenga | Siena | Tuscany An enchanting spot set amidst vineyards and olive groves

Borgo San Felice is a medieval village dating as far back 714 AD. Old documents register a controversy between the bishops of Arezzo and Siena regarding the ownership of the church of S. Felice in Avane, a toponym that reveals a remote Etruscan origin, though there isn’t any further news. In 998, San Felice was known as Pieve and then in the following centuries it was re-baptized with its original name.Throughout the Middle Ages, the village became the setting of violent wars between Siena and Florence. In the 18th century, the disputed territory became the property of the noble Del Taja family from Siena. They settled in the manor house that stands in the heart of the village surrounded by narrow streets, squares, Romanesque churches and chapels that make “Borgo San Felice” one of the most charming and picturesque sites in the area. In 1991 the “village” was restored and transformed into a “diffused hotel”. It soon became a member of the Relais & Chateaux hotel group. Careful renovation has restored and enhanced the architectural features of the village’s medieval palaces, stone houses, chapels and picturesque streets, maintaining intact the authenticity yet adding a subtle elegance and unmistakable style that ensures guests a charming reception.

Santo Stefano di Sessanio | L’Aquila | Abruzzo If you want to discover the deeper sense of a place, you have to sleep in a house of that place, not in an International hotel. Herman Hesse - On Voyage

Santo Stefano di Sessanio is a fortified medieval village barely changed since it was built in the Middle Ages. It is located in the mountains of Abruzzo at 1250 meters above sea level, inside the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga natural park and it is a classic example of an Italian medieval hill town, with perimeter walls encircling houses and squares. In the late 1800’s it was home to more than 3000 people who lived and worked on the land. In 1901, 1400 people called Santo Stefano their home, but fled to escape poverty leaving just 50 people remaining. Once a decayed and forgotten village, Santo Stefano di Sessanio has now been restored and resurrected and represents the first attempt at completely restoring and revitalization of one of Abruzzo’s ancient villages for residential purposes. Thanks to the project the population has raised to over 100 inhabitants. The Sextantio project at Santo Stefano di Sessanio with its rooms is set in the dominating central position in the burgh. Besides their historical features and original autochthonous furnishings, the ample 27 rooms come with wood burning fireplaces and heated floors. Each room reveals the original subdivision, design and ‘arte povera’ decor. This project fully respects the local heritage of mountain people.

The compelling beauty and breathtaking settings of many historic southern Italian hill towns combined with their local traditions make them an ideal destination for International tourism. For visitors who enjoy their history mixed with a magnificent landscape rich in sights, scents and sounds, the ancient hill towns of the Mediterranean area are an ideal destination. CHIOSTRO DEL BRAMANTE

CHIOSTRO DEL BRAMANTE

Roma | Lazio

& Sofia Bianchini

An extraordinary example of Renaissance set in the very heart of Rome

The Chiostro del Bramante is an extraordinary example of Renaissance architecture. It was designed by Donato Bramante (1444-1515), who after the fall of Ludovico Sforza had moved from Milan to Rome, to become the leading architect of Pope Julius II and a great rival of Michelangelo. The Chiostro, or cloister, is part of a building complex which also includes the adjacent church of Santa Maria della Pace, housing Raphael's famous Sybils. It was commissioned by Cardinal Oliviero Carafa around the year 1500, as is attested by the dedicatory inscription skirting the entire perimeter of the building and by the sculpted coats of arms – crowned by that of the cardinal – decorating the columns on the ground and first floors. The Chiostro is an elegantly linear and rigorous building whose compositional elements reflect the principles of harmony and balance. Other than be the space of DART and host several major art exhibitions during the year, the Bramante's cloister provides a unique setting for company, institutional or private events. Its square plan and wide spaces make it a perfect venue for gala dinners, conventions, concerts, performances, and various other events. Both the entire structure and each of its multi-function rooms are available.

LE FABRICHE

LE FABRICHE Maruggio | Taranto | Puglia & Sofia Bianchini

The journey is the reward, ancient chinese proverb

Le Fabriche is the name of the 17th century Masseria around which a wine project is articulated, cultivated, developed, refined and elevated to a long-term vision. We are among Maruggio and Manduria. Coast and hinterland between Taranto and Maruggio. Magna Graecia. Scents of the sea and the countryside. Olives, red earth, farms, salt, crystal clear waters. Great potential still largely to be seized. The old farm in a panoramic position on the rock sloping to the sea is the place of History. Unspoiled in its harmonic proportions offers magnificent views of the landscape surroundings and the intimacy of good conversation in the warmth of old chimneys. The restaurant upstairs is the laboratory of Taste, where the wisdom of tradition marry the culture of research. In the rooms, using the tools of formal minimalism and volumetric purity we recovered a dialectical relationship with the local landscape. The linear two-body construction are lowered into the dense vegetation of olive trees showing their status as "human artifice" with respect to the natural landscape, defining thethreshold of demarcation between man and nature. My desire was to build a human space where mankind talent merges with the beauty of nature... ...this is where I started my journey. Alessia Perrucci

ABBAZIA SAN PIETRO IN VALLE

ABBAZIA S.PIETRO IN VALLE

& Sofia Bianchini

Ferentillo | Terni | Umbria Where art and history melt with immaculate pure nature, and silence magically brings us back in centuries... The abbey sits softly on a plateau on Mount Solemn, 365 metres above the sea level and it is completely surrounded by the thick and luxurious vegetation that covers all the Nera Valley. Not far from great attraction given by the naturally beautiful Marmore waterfalls. Tradition attributes the founding of the Abbey to Faroaldo II Duke of Spoleto in the 8th century. We learn from ancient documents that the Abbey covered a large area in the Valnerina and the abbey exercised rights over many churches in the surrounding countryside and possessed an extensive territorial patrimony composed of villas, villages, castles, many of which strategically controlled the roads communicating with Terni, Spoleto, the Sabina and the Marche region; other properties reached as far as Rome. In the course of the XIV century, following serious disorders and abuse, Boniface VIII acted on full powers against the corrupt monks and abbots and assigned the Abbey to the Lateran Chapter. In 1861 with the unification of Italy, the State expropriated all Church possessions and enabled the general partners to redeem the property. In 1890 Decio Ancajani bought the Abbey which passed into private hands. In 1917 the last descendant of the Ancajani family, Serafina Gianavei, surrendered the Abbey to the parish priest, and sold the convent to Ermete Costanzi who immediately began the restoration and consolidation of the structures that appeared to be damaged or in danger of falling down.

CASTELLO ODESCALCHI

Santa Marinella | Roma | Lazio The constant lapping of waves on the castle walls are like caresses on the hull of a ship on a voyage out to the sea

The 12th century fortified tower located on the sea was one of chain of defense towers for the Papal State which stretched for some 20-30 kms along this part of the coast. The tower is the pinnacle around which the castle structure was built in different historical phases. By the 17th century the castle had lost any military purpose and a building was incorporated on its northern side to house a religious order as well as agricultural activities. The farm was on the Santa Marinella estate located on via Aurelia, an important main artery and hence also a postal station. The Odescalchi family purchased the castle with its small holding in 1887. Within the first decade of ownership the family developed the area into one of the most desirable seaside resort north of Rome. The castle remained an exclusive residence in which the family lived in, and maintained with passion and dedication. Prince Baldassarre, Princess Flaminia, Prince Alessandro, and today Carlo Odescalchi... The Gardens were designed and built in the early 20th century. The shimmer of the light, the breeze, envelope the park with a magical yet spontaneous atmosphere. Thanks to the micro climate plants thrive and the many species of palms cohabit with other botanical elements typical of the Mediterranean plantions.
