# The photographic work rehearsals derives from a previous video piece entitled How to walk on the line that aims to address the often senseless stream of everyday life activities by which we let ourselves be carried in to from time to time. In an attempt to loosely embody the futility of those activities I developed a rather absurd exercise/action where I would place all my energy in trying to walk on a line - the border of a sidewalk - without falling for the longest time possible. Rehearsals is then a photographic compendium of all the rehearsals - meaning the moments of disequilibrium where I almost fall - for the main fall which will determine the end of the “exercise and send me permanently off the sidewalk. The photographs that (re)constitute the moments of disequilibrium were directly removed from their original context, the video piece, being, for that reason, stills that suspend those brief moments in time were my body’s locomotion is momentarily preparing for a fall.
