Mikey Helps Toot-Toot & Tiggle Takes Off

By Umaymah yr 4 Yo waz up, Umaymah here! I’m here to tell you about two stories that I read to my younger sister and brother. The first was called: Mikey Helps Toot-Toot, where an elephant called Toot-Toot learns how to make himself happy. My brother got a little bored and went to bed (he’s a lazy little chap). On the other hand my sister was interru pting quite a lot with questions to ask; I’d say she was enjoying it. I thought the book was boring and so were the drawings. The second book was called: Tiggle Takes Off. In the book Mikey the monkey needs to learn to say ‘thank you’ to Tiggle the tree. My brother participated more this time and actually said that he liked it. My sister also liked it. I didn’t but it did have a good meaning at least. Recommended to kids from 2-4. WARNING: not suitable for over 4s. Available from www.kidz4mation.com

Originally from London, Saul Milton and Will Kennard are an underground Drum and Bass duo who have gone Dub Step. They released their debut album More Than Alot in October 2008 on Ram Records. It won Album of the Year at the 2009 Drum and Bass Awards, in Birmingham. The album features collaborations with artists such as English rapper Kano (Against All Odds), R&B singer Takuri (Streetlife), English rapper, guitarist and singer Plan B (Pieces), and HipHop artist and producer, Digga (Take You There.) Their Drum and Bass roots are still shown on the record, although tracks like Eastern Jam and Running show their capability in producing other genres, like Dub Step (Snoop Dog later remixed Eastern jam). Their tracks have classic heavy bass lines and machine-gun-like drums. The vocals and collaborations make the spectacular songs just that bit more special. No matter what type of music you are into, you will find something in More Than Alot. Definitely one of the records of the decade, a perfect Christmas present. By Gabriel yr 9

Wicked the musical By Maddie yr 9 I think that this is one of the best musicals to go see for Christmas because not only are there great songs but also a much more interesting plot than most musicals. It really takes you into the story and helps you imagine being in the characters shoes. But at the same time it’s a very fun evening out. I would recommend this film to anyone who liked Harry Potter because there is a strong theme of magic throughout the play. I would give this musical 5/5

Cloudy with a

chance of Meatballs PG by Klareze yr 3 Flint Lockwood is the main charact er of Cloudy with a Chance of Mea tballs, who believes he is going to be a great inventor. He has a plan to build a food creating machine that abs orbs water. It was a very difficult task but he managed to make it. The only food available were sard ines, very boring, so he started to create lots of different types of food from different countries around the world, like hamburgers, hot dogs, sub sandwich, ice cream, chocola te, icing, nachos, fish, chicken, spaghetti, bread and of course Meatballs. Plenty of problems arise from usin g the machine but help arrives at last. I love this movie and that’s why you should watch it with your 3D glasses.

Games

www.moshimonsters.com

Have you got your very own pet monster? I have. She’s called Lovely, she’s from the Poppet family and she’s my Moshi Monster, I made her myself. Moshi Monsters is a brilliant website. You can have loads of fun for free and if you end up liking it as much as I do you can pay and become a Moshi member (you get lots of extra things if you do that). Each Moshi has a home; you can decorate your home by using your Rox (that’s Moshi for money) to buy things from shops called things like Yukea and Horrods! You earn Rox by playing really good puzzles and games – the better you are the more you earn. You can also buy clothes and your monster needs to eat so you can’t forget to buy food. You can also buy seeds to plant in your garden, which attract Moshlings, they’re Moshi pets. People from all around the world play and you can visit their house to see how they’ve decorated theirs and if you want you can also ask to be their friend, then you can post notes to each other – even though they might be from America. Be warned though, if you stop visiting for a while your monste r gets really angry with you and gets very irritated and moody. By Lili Bo yr 3

Present Ideas

by Jack yr 5 These are the games that I thin k are amazing and you should buy or try them out. I think that FIFA Soccer 10 on PS2 is very good especially the Pro club and country season. The Clone Wars would be a great present too and WW E is brilliant on wii because they have altered royal rumble.
