Meet Sarabhjit Kaur, Deputy Country Representative, India for EDF Renewables, who is directly responsible for growing and managing EDF Renewables’ renewable energy footprint in India Having previously worked in Houston, USA, focusing on new business development and M&A in North and South America, mainly in nuclear, gas, and hydro sectors, she has a multicultural approach to her work Sarabhjit works on the entire life cycle of projects (origination, evaluation, investment approval, execution and asset monitoring) from a strategic, business development and commercial perspective Her exceptional leadership skills and expertise in the solar sector have helped win three utility-scale solar tenders, and she is the project lead for a 300MW AC solar project under development in Rajasthan She also serves as India lead for EDFR’s qualification process for module suppliers in India Her vision for the future of the solar industry in India is one of successful execution of bid projects, through suitable policies, regulatory and business environment to support India's renewable energy ambitions. Sarabhjit is a B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and also holds an MBA from INSEAD Business School in France.

Ruchita is currently Head – Business Development (International Markets) at Fourth Partner Energy With her strong negotiation and convincing skills she has helped activate the international markets of Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Sri Lanka Ruchita has been with Fourth Partner Energy for close to more than 4 years where she has worked into various profile from key account manager to Open Access Project coordinator and now into International Business She played a pivot role in expanding company’s business from India to Asia Pacific region. Ruchita is an Electrical Engineering graduate from GEC Ujjain 2007 batch She has been with Renewable Energy industry since 2007 and has Solar industry specific experience for over 7 years After graduation she was part of Tata Power Strategy and BD where she was looking after Wind business development and was crucial member to make the wind portfolio grow from 50 MW to 250 MW She also lead the registration of Tata Power’s first project into Clean Development Mechanism She has worked with Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) as part of Forum of Regulators where she was looking into impact analysis of Open Access mechanism In later years she also worked with Hanwha Solar as Country manager for module sales and in Martifier Solar’s Indian JV for their EPC business
