SOLEBURY VISUAL ARTS APRIL 2016 SPRING ISSUE
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE VISUAL ARTS THIS MONTH AT SOLEBURY SCHOOL
Solebury School celebrates the Arts with its week-long Arts Festival every year. The art show in Abbe and various visiting artists bring the community together in a celebration of both performing and visual arts. Throughout the week, special art activities are scheduled for students and faculty. Students enjoy theatrical and musical performances by well known artists. We hope you will attend both the performance events as well as the workshops and enjoy the week long immersion in the arts here at Solebury School.

Graduate of Berklee College of Music as a Composition Major in 1978 Caffney has worked as a professional musician in virtually every facet of the music industry with many of the world始s leading musicians and celebrities, spanning four decades. He has performed in every type of venue: from Madison Square Garden (sold out), to the White House, live Television, and Radio, to all types of jazz and rock clubs throughout the world, as well as Broadway shows, and concert halls, etc. Has recorded countlessly for many artists, television and radio commercials, movie soundtracks. He has Has worked with virtually all of the members of the David Letterman Band, The Conan O始Brien Band, The Saturday Night Live Band, The Tonight Show Orchestra, & The Blues Brothers.
Mark Eaton Producer / Director / Executive Producer In May of 1988, Mark Eaton produced the first independent BMX/ Freestyle video titled "Dorkin' In York". This was the first rider-produced video which would lead a revolution of independent, do-it-yourself BMX videos. Over the course of Mark's 23yrs+ production career, he has produced / directed countless BMX videos, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and tv series' such as the "Dave Mirra BMX Super Tour" TV Series for ESPN. Mark has been regarded by many in the bicycle industry as a pioneer of the BMX/Freestyle video, and is still known throughout the industry as a top action sports cameraman & DP. Combining the action of a sports video, with the visual style & creativity of a music video, Mark developed a signature style that people outside of the bicycle industry began to take notice to. Soon, commercials & videos for products unrelated to bikes began appearing on Mark's reel, but that hasn't changed his feeling toward the BMX genre': "Whether I'm cruising around on rollerblades, filming a pack of BMXers through the streets of LA, or directing a corporate image video, it's all about creating something unique, and I look forward to applying my creativity & years of experience to deliver our clients the best solutions for their budgets".
