AP students are working on the Breadth pieces for their portfolios. These pieces are meant to demonstrate the student’s grasp of either the elements of design should they choose AP Design or the elements of drawing should they choose AP Drawing. They will need 12 finished pieces for this aspect of their portfolio before they move on to their 12 Concentration pieces which are essentially their “artist’s body of work.” These students are enrolled in three art classes and spend many additional hours in the art room working on their portfolios.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM LIFE DRAWING CLASS... students are working on gesture drawings that help them to see the “whole” of the figure rather than separating it into unrelated parts.
