ISSUE NO 15
WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE VISUAL ARTS THIS MONTH AT SOLEBURY SCHOOL
PARENTS DAY! The visual arts department would like to extend a hearty welcome to the parents of our very talented art students. Your children are enrolled in a wide variety of creative classes like Printmaking, Book Arts, 2D Design, Photography, Drawing, Life Drawing, AP, and Painting. Please take the time to stop by this Friday and meet us and talk about the work that has been produced so far in our department.
If you would like to see your child’s work take a walk to the Abbe Science building where you will find framed pieces hanging. Additionally there is work displayed in the art room.
And speaking of the art room...come see the completed renovation in the large art room. Last Spring during the annual Solebury auction, $55,000 was raised to improve the physical art room...new furniture, new floors, newly painted walls, new ceiling, and new sinks are only part of the additions that were made over the summer. The work will be complete in the other two rooms next summer. We could not be happier and thank those of you who so generously contributed as well as the maintenance staff who put all of these wonderful new changes into place over the Summer.
