Purpose: Detail Our Mobility Plan
A Responsive Mobility Plan
At Somernova, we aim to progressively shift transportation choices from driving to more sustainable options such as walking, bicycling, micromobility, and public transit as we expand our campus. Our Momentum Mobility Plan is designed to create an environment that supports diverse and sustainable transportation options and reduces car dependency. In doing so, we aim to foster a healthier, more connected community.
representatives from the campus, neighboring areas, the Union Square community, and local government, we will create a dynamic framework for ongoing enhancement of our mobility plans. This inclusive council will ensure continuous improvement and adaptation to achieve our mobility goals effectively, fostering an environment where every voice contributes to the creation of great places.
ongoing, emerging conditions and opportunities by enabling an iterative approach. Each incremental step in the redevelopment will provide opportunities to continue refining, improving, and ensuring the plan achieves its goals.
Inviting spaces with a mix of uses encourages people to spend more time in a place, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere. This character reduces the need for car trips to other destinations by compelling workers, residents, and visitors to stay for lunch, coffee, and leisure activities. We can minimize unnecessary travel and promote a more sustainable, enjoyable community environment by prioritizing aesthetic and functional design in Somernova's public spaces.
enhancing connections and removing barriers. Adding missing links and improving infrastructure encourages walking and cycling, making travel within the neighborhood more convenient and enjoyable. This approach fosters a sense of proximity, reducing the need for car trips and promoting a healthier, more active community.
sustainability and making a positive impact on the planet. By fostering an environment that prioritizes walking, biking, and sustainable transit, Somernova will naturally attract those who value a greener lifestyle. These like-minded individuals will be inclined to choose Somernova as their workplace, contributing to a community dedicated to environmental stewardship and continuous improvement.
