On Thursday, Xiaomi released MIUI 10 at an annual launch event which also seen the launch of Mi8. Artificial Intelligence powers the latest Android-based operating system as per the declaration from the Chinese company. AI Portrait feature of MIUI 10 is the biggest attraction and this provides the Bokeh functionality irrespective of the smartphone that runs the operating system with either single or dual camera. There are lots of other features that would come along with MIUI10 like AI Preload, Recent widget and combined smart home device support. The China Developer ROM launch and the list of compatible devices are also revealed by the company.

Latest update in MIUI 10 :

The new recent widget is the next update in MIUI 10 which currently features a new layout that enhances screen space and assists full-screen gestures and allows users for swiping or deleting the tasks and pressing for a long time to get various options.

There is another new feature in MIUI 10 that is AI preload which will decrease the load times for apps and UI functions to zero as the software depending on the usage patterns would have preloaded the app.

There is one more feature for acquiring the ability to handle the Mi Ecosystem devices instantly to MIUI 10 without any requirement for another app for the purpose.

Xiaomi does not provide many details about MIUI 10.

There is also a UI redesign which is optimized for smartphones with a higher range of screen to body ratios and slim bezels as per the company. There is a brand new Recents app menu termed as MIUI 10 and the recent app menu in MIUI 9 has a lateral scrolling card switcher while MIUI 10 has a 2 x 2 app list for allowing lots of apps to be viewed together.

Similar to flight mode there is a new car mode that has a layout optimization on the guest or the user devices for a good map view at the time of driving. You can answer the call with new voice commands and reply to a text message and modify the route.
