It has elements and substance that’s hard to find in commercial thrillers like uncanny silence, haunting but beautiful melancholy, an enticing love story and an environment of delusion that takes you in slowly and gradually. Anushka’s 3rd movie which also happens to be her stunning work as a producer cum actor, till date, Pari has an ability to add a new definition to the genre with a refreshing twist and flair. The movie is done by amazing actors like Anushka, Parambrata Chatterjee, and Rajat Kapoor adds some real substance to the story with their acting prowess and ensures doesn’t die out even if the pace fluctuates. And there should be a special applause to the art direction as well. The makeup and special effects are not funny or overrated and greatly contributes to the making of Pari, a mysterious and creepy Indian thriller.

The director’s work becomes easy with best of the actors who came under one roof. Anushka is a perfect amalgam of innocence and enigma, frail yet fierce as Rukhsana. Anushka has taken the track in Bollywood, where several actors take up the role of producing movies. Its risk-taking and Anushka is doing a great job at this. And worth mentionable is Parambrata filmography which is influenced by Bengali cinema. He made his debut in Bollywood with an amazing performance in the Vidya Balan-starrer Kahaani (2012) and adds same splendor to the character of Arab If you love watching horror movies, and prefer a genuine scary show and not just failing sequences, then this movie is the one, you should go for.
