Tomb Raider Movie Review JustInReviews comes with its movie review of the recent makeover of Tomb Raider. The Story: Lara Croft is out to find the reality behind her dad’s disappearance, and is out for an adventure that takes her beyond the limits. Review: In the 2000’s, Angelina Jolie appeared in the role of Lara Croft in several movies based on the game character which ignited the fantasies of gaming enthusiasts worldwide. To mention that Alicia Vikander had big footwear would be a lesser statement. And Vikander is more capable as an actress, with an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in her crown. She takes upon the popular role in this remake of the movie with élan, erasing any mark of Jolie.

Here Lara Croft is emotionally quite vulnerable and without any superhuman capabilities. She uses her intelligence and courage to beat the challenges in front of her. Vikander keeps us engrossed through Lara Croft’s new face from an innocent, reluctant damsel to a determined woman who isn’t fearful about risk-taking. While is setting up the introductory parts, the film visits some of the pages of the original story. Hence the plot is at time quite predictable and logically so obvious move the story ahead. There’s also the villain Vogel, enacted by Walton Goggins, who doesn’t appear much fearsome to be taken with much seriousness. And there is to mention about Dominic West as Lord Richard Croft who brings in sufficient resonance as Lara’s dad to make her motivations so properly did justice for their scenes are essential to the plot. Though the screenplay leads to uneven pacing problems that make it a sloppy movie, the action is quite compelling to see through. Wish it did not rely much on snappy editing; it would have been more thrilling. The choices made by the director Roar Uthaug keeps the film little back from being a more intense watch. But ‘Tomb Raider’ does more to re-establish the film onscreen by offering its female lead a perfect and a relevant makeover, to launch Alicia Vikander as today’s Lara Croft. Director - Roar Uthaug

Cast - Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins, Daniel Wu, Kristin Scott Thomas That was all about the movie review on Tomb Raider. JustInReviews is an ideal place for movie ratings .
