Evaluation question 4: Who would be the audience for your media products? This is what the typical reader of SoundCheck would look like;
There’s a clear audience for my magazine which includes the emo, Goth, metal head subcultures who typically read Kerrang but my audience has a more female bias. My audience will be both male and female aged 14+. Readers of SoundCheck would be from around all the UK and USA if SoundCheck became really well known. They would take pride in how they look and spend a lot of money to achieve their look. There would where skinny jeans, probably black, Bands tshirts and sweatshirts/hoodies. The clothing would be mostly dark colours. They have tattoos and piercings. They’ll also spend a lot of money on their hair and products for their hair. A lot of the female readers will have either bright, non-natural colour hair such as blues and red, black or white/grey and the boys will have mainly black, long swoopy hair. They would normally shop in alternative clothes like Pulp and Drop dead but use mainstream shops such a Primark because they can buy cheap clothes and cut them and design into something that they would where because they’re creative and like the make things look unique. My audience are most likely to buy clothes and other products online. They genre of music they would listen to would be rock/metal/screamo/ pop punk/death metal/heavy metal etc. They should buy my magazine because there’s very few magazines available to buy that relate to them and is about the music that they like. Most magazines available are glossy, fashion magazine’s about chart music which my target audience is not interested in.
