It's Black Music Month, PINK Diamonds!! It is June 2023! I LOVE Black Music from Jazz to Hip Hop to Gospel to R&B/Soul to Funk and so much more! I grew up in a household where my Dad played his drums loudly for hours and I was right on the floor right in front of the Bass Drum To this day I can't hear really well in my right ear. LOL! All month long I want to encourage you to listen to Black Music and support preserving it by supporting your favorite musicians both mainstream and independent artists

If you did not know I am the Artist-inResidence and VP of Marketing and Communications for The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society based out of Atlantic City, New Jersey! We are having a month-long fundraising campaign with HBCUs and PWIs libraries with a Black Music Month curation that has never been done nationwide. We are on a mission to preserve Black Music culture one record at a time and spearheading getting African American Music Studies as a degree program in colleges and universities across the United States and globally by 2030 Donate to help us to complete this mission by emailing info@rhythmbluesps.org.

Ms. Achievement Barbados 2023

I am the Inaugural Ms. Achievement Barbados 2023 and I will compete in July 2023 for Ms. Achievement World 2023 virtually. My platform is Black Music Preservation via The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) music society with a mission to preserve Black music culture one record at a time. I decided to compete in this pageant because I am on a heritage journey of my Bajan roots My Great-grandmother Mrs Adelaide Barker Melrose came to America via Ellis Island in the early 1900s. I grew up around my Nana but I never asked her about Barbados as a child. I wish that I had asked her questions about her homeland. Strength of a Woman: A Phyllis Hyman Tribute 10th

Anniversary 2013-2023

This year marks my 10th Anniversary of producing my loving Off-Broadway tribute to the Legendary Songtress Phyllis Hyman which has been supported by New Jersey Former Mayor of Atlantic City, Jersey, and present New Jersey Assemblyman Donald A. Guardian, Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Former First Lady Chirlane McCray, The Hyman Family, The Rhythm and Blues Preservation Society and Friends of Phyllis Hyman! I am kicking off a fundraiser in May 2023 to produce a soundtrack album and documentary to be released in 2024! This month I have decided to recommend one book to add to your bookshelves It's important to read and gain wisdom and knowledge We need to get back to reading books again Reading online is great and it is definitely best when you are traveling But there is nothing like opening a new book and reading the new pages Something about both

a new book smell and feel of the pages as well as a vintage book that has yellow pages, faded and full of character from years of people holding and reading the pages The book I want to recommend this month is "Hustle Harder Hustle Smarter" by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson I finished several audio books so far and really recommend trying audio books while writing or creating leisurely Time goes by quickly listening

I HAD THE PLEASURE TO MEET TWO OF THE THREE PEOPLE I HAD ON MY WALL AS A TEENAGER: PRINCE AND WYNTON MARSALIS I DIDN'T GET TO MEET MICHAEL JACKSON.

I founded PINK Diamonds Fitness Club in 2017 on Facebook to share my progression towards getting fit. I started on April 1, 2023 my 60 day Fitness Challenge! My first month I realized I do not eat enough and I must add at least 30 minutes of exercise daily

This is going to be a slow learning process. But I'm up for the challenge. This year I am determined to get back down to my college size of 10-12.

I got my scale out of storage and I will plan my daily fitness routine for June 2023 Stay tuned for my progression! PINK Diamonds Dream is a mentoring and coaching firm for creatives. I remember when I was younger I really wanted a mentor or a coach to help me with my aspirations to become a singer and fashion model. Although I studied Fashion Merchandising and Design during undergrad and I worked with many musicians as well as fashion designers I really wished I had a mentor to help guide me at the beginning of my career.
