A Message from Our President I was going through my stash the other day looking for some inspiration and the only thing that came to me was my stash is tired and boring. I need to freshen it up with some “new yarn” and get rid of yarn that is giving me the silent treatment. Our bi-annual yarn yard sale in July is just the ticket. Yarn sales or even swaps are done directly between interested Guild members. Take some time before the meeting to go through patterns for ideas for holiday knitting, gifts or something for yourself. At the July meeting we are also going to have an “Ask the Experts” session. If you have a question or a knitting problem, bring it to the meeting in July and we will get someone to answer it. NOTE TO SELF: Next TKGV Pitch and Stitch, get seats in the middle of a row. I am not sure any of us who attended the game on June 16 got any knitting done, but we certainly got our exercise going up and down in our seats all night. We had a couple of busy rows with people in an out and I was forced to watch the game instead of knitting. The Tides won, by the way. Our KIP event at the Nordstrom’s café turned out much better. We had a great day eating, chatting, knitting and smiling at all the curious stares we got. We left vowing to return in the very near future. Summer is here, the kids are out of school and I never seem to have as much time to knit. My garden should be thriving and I should be busy with it. However, the only things thriving are bugs, weeds and diseases. I am ready to throw in the trowel. The bright side to this situation is I can now finish the second sock for three pairs of socks I have started. See you in July.
