A message from our president ! WOW! I was running through my mind everything the Guild has on the calendar for March, and we are going to be busy. Starting with our Guild meeting on March 3, the program is making a knitted bunny from a square. The pattern is on Ravelry (Knitted Bunny by Jackie@HeartStringsFiberArts.com); however, the important point is that if you want to participate in the program you need to come with a knitted six-inch square. ! ! We also will be doing a brown bag exchange. For those that want to participate, put a skein of yarn in a brown lunch bag and at the meeting all the bags will be put on a table and you will randomly pick one. The idea is for you to knit something incorporating the yarn in the bag you picked and present your project, such as a derby hat, at the May meeting. I will have extra bags at the meeting. You need to provide the yarn and creativity.! ! At the end of the week we are headed to Corolla, N.C., for our annual retreat. The committee has finalized the plans and I think we are ready. Though there is a lot of instruction scheduled for the weekend, there is plenty of social and knit time as well. Check your email for a listing of homework and class supplies and don’t forget your flower. It will be a nice getaway weekend and I can’t wait.! ! The following weekend (March 14-16) we have the Spring Craft Fair at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Check the signup schedule at the March meeting and try to give a couple hours. Volunteers will get in free, and you’ll have the opportunity to walk around and see all the vendors and other guilds. ! ! After all that, I don’t know about you, but I am going to be ready for a little break. Would this be a bad time to mention that I am still looking for help with the Scavenger Hunt at the end of May?! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Debbie Hen derson
