A message from our president Happy New Year, everyone! By now our hand knits and crocheted items have been given and loved by all who received them. Our needles may be taking a much-needed rest, as well as our hands and fingers. I know mine could use a good massage. Then we’re on to the next project! Now is the time we think of how we want to make a change or a difference in our own lives. Straighten up that craft room; organize your patterns or yarn. Maybe even list everything on Ravelry! We will be looking at our knitting resolutions this month at our first meeting of the year. Do you even remember what you wrote down last year? I can’t. So, here are my questions to all of us: What is it that has you coming to the Tidewater Knitting Guild? Do you enjoy being out in public venues as a representative of the Guild? Would you be just as happy with the camaraderie and fellowship of other knitters and crocheters? If you had a magic knitting wand that would make your dreams for the Guild come true, what would that look like? The Board and I are very open to any, and all suggestions, dreams or insights you may have. So please don’t be shy, email me with your thoughts at purlingbythebay@gmail.com. I do hope to hear from you soon. So as we’ve closed out the old year and bring in the new, I wish you blessings and joy for 2015!
