Holiday Calendar of Events ONGOING Through January 7 Model Trains Spectacular Exhibit - This year’s annual holiday toy exhibition will feature model trains of many scales and styles. Trains will be featured in small town winter settings from the mid1940s to the 1960s. Highlights will include famous passenger trains: Santa Fe El Capitan and New York Central’s 20th Century Limited; Southern Pacific and Northwest Pacific freight trains; tank and box cars carrying wines from Healdsburg’s Roma and Foppiano wineries and Asti’s Italian Swiss Colony winery, as well as replicas of the Healdsburg Train Depot and the Roma winery building, now Hudson Street Wineries. DECEMBER December 1 Guerneville Holiday Princess & Prince Crowning Ceremony - At this annual dinner and toast, Guerneville’s Holiday Princess and Prince will be announced and crowned. Cloverdale Winter Festival - The annual event will feature two marketplaces, the traditional Christmas Tree lighting in the downtown plaza, live music, food, local wines and a host of crafts, vendors and family activities. From 3- 4:30 p.m. kids are invited to decorate gingerbread men in the plaza. Christmas tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. A decades-long tradition, the Cloverdale Lions Club puts out hot cocoa, cider donuts and Santa arrives and he sets up in his holiday house and visits with the children. There will also be music of the season on the stage. Downtown businesses are encouraged to stay open until 9 p.m . The Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce invites the community to enjoy music, crafts and wine at each from 5 to 9 p.m. There will
be live music, food bites, holiday desserts, wreath decorating, and vendors offering a wide array of handmade gifts. Clover Theater will be showing “White Christmas” on the big screen starting at 8 p.m. The Cloverdale Historical Society’s Gould Shaw House museum will be decorated in full holiday splendor and open for visitors. December 1-3, 7-10 A Vintage Christmas - A mix of “A Christmas Carol” and “It’s a Wonderful Life” set in wine country presented by Raven Performing Arts Theater. Dominic’s family has been in the wine business for a hundred years but lately the pressure, both economic and emotional, finds him contemplating selling the family winery.
