I experimented with compositions and media, I thought about using brush pen and combining it with watercolour, however this wasn’t as strong as watercolour on its own and I lost a lot of colour in the overall composition.

My next step was to make a mock up of what the book would look like, I’d been experimenting with composition and decided on this as my final mock up.

It’s an interesting layout and allows me to focus on each character without it being too busy.

I started working on the smaller images to go on the facing pages of my book and decided to include a sentence from each description to sum up the judgement that had been made. It also added a bit of humour to the whole thing which I think makes it stronger and more relatable.
