For the prints in the cynic half of my publication I focussed on sharp lines and facial expression, continuing with the blue graph paper for textures. I have decided to leave the natural marks made by the mono printing process on the print because it adds depth.
I’m using quotes for the cover pages of my book to introduce the feel of each side, the text and image is mono printed.
I am considering inverting the cover for the cynic side as it will also introduce the atmosphere.
I made the conscious decision to press down onto the mono prints during the process to create lighting and tone which I think was successful. I also found that the more ink I left in the better the feel of the image was as I wanted a dark atmosphere.
