SL’s own Tony Bailey was at the track on Oaks and Derby to capture the action, which saw Authentic, trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by jockey John Velazquez win the 146th running of the Kentucky Derby. Shedaresthedevil, trained by Brad Cox, and ridden by Florent Geroux, posted a stakes-record time of 1:48:28 en route to an Oaks win.
