Are you trying to control your diabetes with diet and exercise? If so you may be eligible to participate in a diabetic research study. Currently under investigation is a new medication to treat Type 2 Diabetes. This medication stimulates your pancreas to produce insulin when your blood sugars are elevated. Unlike other medications, this medication is blood sugar dependent. Meaning that as your blood sugar comes back to normal the medication becomes inactive. This prevents your blood sugars from going too low and causing cravings, weight gain, and symptoms of low blood glucose. When you eat again and your blood sugar begins to rise, the medication in once again reactivated to help control your diabetes. This more closely mimics what the pancreas naturally does. • • • • • • • • •
