Welcome to Soulpepper’s Summer Season.
Having just completed an extremely ambitious spring season in which we ran eight plays simultaneously, it would be fair to assume that Soulpepper is slowing down for the summer. However, the opposite is true. Between now and Labour Day we will mount six productions—of which five are brand new to Soulpepper audiences— including Arthur Miller, Leo Tolstoy and Tennessee Williams, legendary French absurdist Eugène Ionesco, and Canada’s own Judith Thompson. Joining these, for a limited return engagement, is our hugely popular remount of the Canadian classic Billy Bishop Goes to War, starring its original creators Eric Peterson and John Gray. The acclaimed Soulpepper ensemble is currently hard at work bringing their accustomed rigour and brilliance to these great works of world literature. We can’t wait to see you at the theatre this summer! Yours, Albert Schultz, Artistic Director
