A Look at the Legacy: Founded in November 1981,in Bangalore, AIESEC in Bangalore, one of the fifteen local committees of AIESEC in India has grown, evolved and progressed multi-dimensionally since its inception in 1982, when it was founded and established by Mr. Rohan Joshi, currently the Vice- President of Larsen&Tubro. As a local chapter of AIESEC in India, AIESEC in Bangalore strives to deliver quality experiences to its members through developing and harnessing their potential and providing them with life changing opportunities, and also its various stakeholders including trainees and clients so that they may have an enriched and well-rounded learning experience around the issues that we work with, AIESEC in Bangalore creates an impact working with issues such as HIV/AIDS, Entrepreneurship, Corporate Social Responsibility, Finance etc.AIESEC in Bangalore will be working with two new issues and subsequently projects which are Microfinance, in the development sector and Numbers - a finance initiative, in the corporate sector. In addition to these, other projects that will be run are Eureka and Balanced Enterprise in the Corporate sector and ASK, Conserve, Footprints, Genesis and Women Empowerment in the Development sector. It has been one of those Local Committees of AIESEC India which has always strived for excellence and the proof of that has been the awards and recognitions that AIESEC Bangalore has got over the years. Some STANDING OUT points: Bangalore is the IT HUB of India. It is a home to more than 5,000 IT firms, more than 10,000 Technical firms and more than 7,000 Management firms. Thus Bangalore is also known as “THE SILICON VALLEY” of India. Bangalore has a huge student market with more than 125 Engineering Colleges, more than 300 Commerce Colleges, 100 odd Arts Colleges and more than 500 colleges dealing with Law, Life Sciences, Medical, Dental etc, thus giving a brilliant opportunity to the EP to network. AIESEC in Bangalore is one of the oldest Local Committees of India, established in 1981 and has been a FULL MEMBER LC from the past 30 years. Out of the 40 AIESEC Entities present in India only 5 enjoy the status of Full Members, Bangalore being one. AIESEC Bangalore started the concept of Exchange Directors along with AIESEC Hyderabad in the year 2012, which is now being followed by every Local Chapter of AIESEC India. AIESEC Bangalore releases the LC, Alumni and Client Newsletter every fortnight which has been recognized as a Best Case Practice in the AIESEC India Network. AIESEC Bangalore is the only LC in the AIESEC India Network which has a corporate office at a commercial place giving us the best infrastructure and facilities, and making the office more accessible.

General Instructions 1. The trainee on TMP/TLP while on exchange will be counted as a member of Local Committee. 2. The trainee shall take part in the RnR Campaign of the LC. 3. The trainee shall be attending some of the meetings of the team they are a part of. These meetings will be scheduled at a time not interfering with the Internship of the trainee. 4. The trainee shall be attending the Local Committee Meetings of the hosting LC. 5. The trainee shall fill the necessary trackers that are part of the team’s tracking mechanism.

POSSIBLE JOB ROLES 1. LTT (BCP Sharing, etc.) Description – a. Work with the close synergy of the Training Team of the hosting LC. b. Attend weekly meetings for helping LTT with planning sessions c. Help LTT plan the Local Education Cycle. d. Work with the LTT in making the Leadership Development Program of the hosting LC better. e. Sharing of BCPs with LTT and helping them out with its implementation Duration – 8 Weeks Time Required – 5 hours in a week Skill/Competencies Gained – Team Management Training Skills Time Management Conflict Management
2. Quality TeamDescription – a. Attending weekly meetings with the Quality Task Force of the hosting LC. b. Manage Trainee Reception of the hosting LC. c. Organize Trainee events. d. Take part in trouble-shooting Trainee issues. Duration – 8 Weeks Time Required – 4-6 hours per week

3. Raising (Exchange) – Description – ICX a. Establishing contacts for new business (Cold Calling) b. Follow-up / evaluation c. Business contacts and dealings with company representatives. d. Seek opportunities to promote Global Entrepreneur Program of the hosting LC. c. Be present at events of the team (EPICs and GVs) d. Take appointments in Colleges for OGX Raising. e. 4. Exchange Development-To strike partnerships with their own LC(For AIESECers) Description – a. Working with the IR team of the hosting LC. b. Study the TNs before even coming from the internship. c. Matching of the TNs of the host LC with suitable EPs. d. Attend weekly meetings with the team for strategizing Internal Branding of TNs. Duration – 8 Weeks Time Required – 3-4 Hours per week Skill/Competencies Gained – Team Management Evaluation and Assessment Communication Skills
5. EP Buddy/Orientation Description – a. Work with the Delivery team of OGX. b. Work for the orientation of EPs who are matched in the country of the trainee. c. Plan sessions which will be country specific in terms of orientation. d. Help in managing the expectation-setting between the EP and TN manager. Duration – 8 Weeks Time Required – 4-6 hours per week Skill/Competencies Gained – Presentation Skills Communication Skills Project Delivery

6. eXCEED( For ICX AIESECer EP’s)- To raise EP’s for their own TN’s Description – a. Work towards managing the Demand and Supply Chain between the two LCs. b. Help in Raising EPs in Hosting LC for TNs of Sending LC. c. Work with the Promotions team of OGX department. d. Organize promotional events and LEAD Sessions for OGX. e. Work on the Market Research before arriving.(Material to be provided). Duration – 8Weeks Time Required – 4-6 hours per week Skill/Competencies Gained – Selling Skills Event Management Skills Presentation Skills Communication Skills
7. Intern Project teams( Only LC run projects) – Description – a. Be a part of the Project Teams that the trainee is realized for. b. Work with all the trainees in maximizing the impact of the project. c. Plan out the implementation of the Project with the delivery team of the hosting LC. d. Work towards making the project a BCP of the hosting LC by continuously working towards improving it. Duration – 8 Weeks Time Required – Apart from the entire Exchange Opportunity, 4-6 Hours per Week
