Industry News 3M’s Global Bonding Process Centers Help Customers Realize Their Automation Aspirations 3M Industrial Adhesives and Tapes Division is evolving its Bonding Process Centers in St. Paul, USA; Neuss, Germany; and Shanghai, China. Against the backdrop of a growing trend toward automation in manufacturing, the 3M Bonding Process Centers provide a starting point from which to design and plan automated bonding solutions. The 3M Bonding Process Centers are designed to help identify customized process solutions to complex bonding challenges and now enable customers to also virtually access the centers for consultations and live demos. Formerly known as the Global Adhesives Solutions Lab, the 3M Bonding Process Centers connect customers with local 3M experts, facilitating a partnership that solves problems and optimizes processes. University at Buffalo Receives Grant From Siemens For Industry-Leading Manufacturing Software Students returning to the University at Buffalo (UB) this fall are poised to benefit from an innovative public and private workforce development collaboration thanks to the Siemens Digital Industries Software Academic Program, which will provide the university an in-kind software grant of tools for computer-aided design, simulation, manufacturing planning, robotics, product lifecycle management, and more. Siemens will also provide expertise to help shape corresponding curriculum to best prepare UB students for high demand roles in the industrial sector. Sandvik Coromant Opens New Sandvik Coromant Center Sandvik Coromant has opened its new Sandvik Coromant Center Mebane in the heartland of manufacturing innovation and technology, joining a global network of facilities dedicated to showcasing metal-cutting expertise and helping to solve customer challenges. As part of its continued investment in customer experience and knowledge sharing, metal-cutting leader Sandvik Coromant has opened a new Sandvik Coromant Center in Mebane, NC. In conjunction, the company has moved its U.S. headquarters to the same location.
