What activities can I engage in? Where is it located?
How can I get there?
And what about the traditional cuisine?
What are the locals like? Do they offer any accommodation?
Are there any historic sites I can visit?

Of course! The Southern Coastal Region is rich in history and legends. There are archeologic sites, historic monuments, ancient castles and a variety of other architectural attractions.
Hospitality is one of the main positive features in the South; Locals have opened up their houses to host travellers who want to experience these fantastic places. You can easily find cheap guesthouses, but you can also set-up a tent if you’d prefer to.
It’s quite delicious; Albania is well-known for its tasty cuisine. From goat meat to fish, traditional pie, cheese, honey and raki; homemade of course
A Tourism map of the Mysterious South is now available to buy in all bookshops. You can find the brochures of the villages there as well. Also, follow the Mysterious South on facebook and check: www.south.al; www.albania.al
