financial aid All new students are eligible to apply for financial aid. Through the support of the Southern Baptist Convention, personal donations, and local churches there are multiple opportunities for a student to receive financial aid.

Cooperative Program Southern Baptist students automatically receive a tuition discount of 50%. The CP thus provides an annual subsidy for each Southern Baptist student.

Southeastern Scholarships Other types of aid are made possible through gifts and funds established by individual and corporate donors. These gifts make it possible to provide scholarships and emergency grants to qualified students. Information and Applications for scholarships can be found on www.sebts.edu/admissions/ financial-aid. Emergency grant information is completed in person at the financial aid office in the Ledford center.

State-specific scholarships State organizations and foundations generously provide scholarships for our students. Students should contact their state organization directly to learn eligibility requirements and deadline stipulations as well as obtain applications. Most states determine residency based upon one’s driver’s license, tax filings, and one-year residency prior to attendance at Southeastern.

Local Church Many of our students receive financial assistance through their local church. This assistance can vary from one-time love offerings to scholarship programs with formal applications. Arrangements for church scholarship agreements can be made with the accounting services office. Students may apply for financial aid at any time during the application process. However, awards should not be considered finalized until the student has qualified, received an aid acceptance letter, and matriculated. Our website, www.sebts.edu, includes detailed listing of all available scholarships from a variety of sources, and also includes information about how to apply for many of them. In many cases, online application forms are also available directly from the site.

student life

The Student Life Office seeks to glorify the Jesus Christ by building a sense of community among the student body and assisting them in their academic, personal and ministerial development. We strive to meet this goal by being available to students, offering intramural activities, special events throughout the semester, and organizing student groups. The social hub of the campus is the Ledford Center, which houses the Student Life Office, fitness center with racquetball courts, a full court gymnasium, and a social area where students can play ping pong, pool, and rest between classes. The Ledford Center also houses The Locker, where students can purchase SEBTS merchandise and The Court which offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, and snacks. Lifeway Christian Stores, also located in the Ledford Center, offers textbooks along with other merchandise. Students who are interested in athletics can enjoy our exciting intramural events. The Intramurals program offers various activities throughout the semester for all students such as football, wiffle ball, basketball, and ultimate frisbee. In addition to these traditional sports, there are also one-day golf tournaments, corn hole tournaments, and March Madness NCAA championship games. Student Life hosts several special events throughout the semester where students can mingle, listen to music, enjoy fellowship, free food, and drink. These events include monthly a Coffee House with live bands, coffee and desserts. Each semester Student Life sponsors a Cook Out where kids and adults alike enjoy food, live music, and games. At the close of each semester, Study Breaks are held late at night with pancakes, coffee, and other snacks providing students a quick and refreshing break. The Student Life Office also heads up several students groups, such as Passion for All Lands, a student group that brings awareness about other cultures and nations; International Justice Mission, a national organization which brings awareness about injustice across the world; and All Things to All Men, an evangelistic theatrical and musical arts group.
