CONTRIBUTIONS, FEARS AND EXPECTATIONS
An evaluation template from Tkit6 on Training Essentials.
It's really important to make the list with the mentee's interests and field of work in mind - so that the list can be 100% useful. Also next to each possible contact the mentor and mentee should write down every possible way the contact could be of help or useful for the mentee. There are two sides to the purpose! The first dimension is building the network of the mentee and enabling them to meet the people you know and also use them in the future when needed (because of this it is needed that the mentee uses the contacts themselves and not that the mentor jumps in and makes the calling or something...). The second dimension is working on the relationship between the mentee and the mentor and strengthening it. By sharing own contacts and giving them people they can address, the mentor builds the trust between themselves and the mentee. To explore the fears and expectations the mentee has regarding the process, and what contributions they feel they can make.
