In the summer months, birds eat lots of seeds from flowers and berries from trees and shrubs. Some birds eat insects and caterpillars, too. As it gets colder, the flowers and insects all die for the winter season, and that means there is not a lot of food for birds to eat! Providing drinking water is one of the most important things we can do to help birds! 1. Find a dish or a saucer and fill with water. 2. Put a big rock in the dish so the little birds can perch on the rock to get a drink. 3. Put clean water in every day.
1. Ask your grownup if you can put up a bird feeder 2. Ask if they can help you fill it with bird seed 3. Keep it filled up every day!
Chickadees like to eat suet, sunflower seeds, and peanuts American goldfinches like to eat sunflower seeds and thistle seeds Eastern Bluebirds like to eat mealworms and fruit.

The water we drink and use to bathe is "freshwater" from lakes and rivers. This is different from saltwater found in oceans. The Earth doesn't have a lot of freshwater, so let's save every drop!

Birds and animals can choke on plastic. If you see trash outside, use a "grabber" or a pair of rubber gloves to pick it up and put it in the trash can. You can also make less trash by reusing stuff you usually throw away!

All bugs have important jobs, especially bees! Bees spread pollen and help us grow fruits and vegetables. Bees also give us honey! So, don't squish bees, and tell your friends and family not to hurt them, either. Bees and wasps only sting if they are in danger. When you see one, stay calm and move slowly away.

Here are Yoga Poses that you can practice sitting on the grass, on the floor or carpet in your home, or on a yoga mat. Easy Pose is called Sukasana in the language of Sanskrit. "Suka" means happiness, pleasure, and ease. This pose will help your mind relax and your body feel well from head to toes! 1. Sit up straight with your legs crossed. Boat Pose is called Navasana or Naukasana . "Nava," or "Nauka" means boat. This pose strengthens the middle of the body. 1. Lie on your back with your arms by your sides. 2. Bend your knees with feet flat on the floor.
3. Lift your chest and stretch your arms forward.
4. Lift your feet and legs, and keep your arms and fingers stretched toward your toes. 5. Slowly breath in and out through your nose. The last time you breath out, slowly lower your back and legs.
