Reduce Your Holiday Stress As the holiday season approaches, your stress level will probably rise. In addition to your typical schedule of work, home, and kids, you have got more shopping to do, menus to plan, and food to prepare. The good news is, even with all the extra activities and preparations, you can still reduce your holiday stress. Here are some proven strategies to help you decrease your stress. Some of these may even be so effective that you’ll choose to use them all year long, not just during the holidays!

1.

Acknowledge that everything doesn’t need to be perfect. The commercials and movies on television during the holidays really miss the mark when it comes

to realistic portrayals of family holidays. Accept that you can enjoy beautiful holiday get-togethers regardless of whether something is spilled or you’re having trouble locating your favorite dinner napkins. Furthermore, most people will hardly notice if the pies were baked a little too long or you forgot the cranberry sauce.

2.

Start holiday planning and preparations earlier. Can you imagine how much less stressed you would feel if you had all your gift shopping and wrapping done in October? Also, plan your holiday menus well in advance of using them. This way, you’ll have the menu set and the store lists made, and as the holidays draw closer, you

can review and make any minor adjustments you want. Spreading tasks out over longer periods of time means you will have less stress during the holiday season itself.

3.

Scale down your holiday plans. Because adults sometimes have an overly idealistic view of the holidays from their childhood experiences, this strategy can be tough to do. Scaling down your plans involves letting go of your “perfect dream” for the holidays; you don’t have to find the perfect gift, spend the most money, or have a room stacked with wrapped packages to show your love to others. Instead, ascribe to the theory, “It’s the thought that counts.” Most people will never remember the cool present you got them, but they will remember the warm memories of time you spent together.

4. Transformation Life & Business Online Coaching Schedule A Free Discovery Call Specialized Coaching for Women

Take shortcuts to save time. Figure out easier ways to do things. One good example: Rather than baking the pies, order them from a nearby restaurant that’s known for its delicious baked goods. When shopping, don’t be afraid to select gift cards as holiday gifts. The fact is many people prefer receiving a gift card as they can then choose exactly what they want. Gift cards are easy to shop for, satisfy nearly everyone, and will cost you less in wrapping paper.

5.

301-769-1176 ✤ kathleenstarkcoaching@gmail.com

Choose what you want to do. Ponder what the holidays truly mean to you and then express that meaning in your celebrations. Let go of feeling required to plan and carry out elaborate, lavish celebrations. Maybe you would rather have smaller, more intimate gatherings with friends spread out over a month or two, rather than a big whoop-de-doo that makes it difficult to safely connect with others, especially due to COVID-19. The best way to teach your children that the holidays are about giving

to others is to take them to visit local charities or to serve meals at a soup kitchen. This year, make the decision to reduce your holiday stress. By shedding the urge to be perfect, beginning holiday planning earlier, scaling down expectations, and using shortcuts to save time, you’ll bring your tension level way down. Think about what you really want the holidays to mean to you and your family. Then, you can let go of expectations based on the past and really enjoy your time together. And ultimately, isn’t that what the holidays are for?

Re-route Your Thoughts to Heal Your Trauma Why me? Why not me?

We often ask ourselves these two questions at some point during our life. Someone is chosen for an award – why not me? You are passed over for a promotion – why me? These thoughts come from an idea we learn as little children that the world is just and fair. Except, it’s not. You see, we begin our lives at a very young age thinking good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people. This leads us to believe that if something bad happens to ourselves, then I must be a bad person and conversely, if something good

happens, I must be a good person. However, we all know now this is not the way the world works. Sometimes bad things just happen, and sometimes good things just happen. But these early ideas influence the way we respond to traumatic events. When a traumatic event occurs, the survivor may ask, why me? Or sometimes, why not me? We begin to cook up thoughts in our head that feed the beliefs about our trauma or our response to the trauma. How we think about ourselves, others, and the world around us is greatly influenced by

Feeling ashamed, lost, afraid, alone? Reliving terrifying moments? Wondering when the dreams will stop? No matter what the road of life has put in your way, there is hope for recovery. Contact Hope and Healing Psychotherapy today to begin your healing journey. 41650 Courthouse Drive, Suite 301 Leonardtown, MD 20650 301-690-8404 www.hopehealingtherapy.com hopehealingtherapy hope_healing_therapy

the way we think about our trauma. It is also important to note that after a traumatic event, some survivors are greatly impacted by the event while others are not. The way our brain responds during the psychological “flight, fight or freeze” process determines how we react and recover after a trauma. I’ll save you the neuroscience lesson and simply say our brains basically determine how we react, and the way we react moves along a continuum – one with “no impact” on one end and “severely impacted” on the other. The amazing part is that we can heal from our trauma regardless of what end of the spectrum our brains might land. While our brains are hard-wired and complex machines, we are strong and powerful agents of chance. When we focus on our thoughts, determine if they are helpful and realistic, and then change those thoughts that are not, we can change the ways our brains process the trauma. It’s kind of similar to sledding. For example, imagine you’re heading down the hill and you’ve got a great run. It’s fast and smooth then all of a sudden, you veer off to the right. Now, each time you go down the hill you keep veering off to the right. The only way to change your course is to dig your feet down, push into the sled, and force the sled back on to the best snow trail. Eventually, you will reinforce a new, better path and create a blockage to avoid the other not-so-great path. We can do the same thing in our minds while healing from trauma. We go along with life and it’s smooth as ice. Then all of a sudden, something happens (trauma), and we are veering off to the right. But getting back on the right path is possible. If we

dig down deep, engage in traumafocused therapy, and put in the hard work, before we know it, our brains will return to the reinforced, original smooth pathway with access to the negative route no longer in our way. At Hope and Healing Psychotherapy, we offer Cognitive Processing Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPT for PTSD). This model of therapy helps the trauma survivor learn how to change their unhelpful and unrealistic thoughts about themselves, others, and the world. Chose the best sledding path. Dig deep. Let us help you do the hard work. There is hope in healing! Jennifer Voorhaar is   the owner of and therapist at Hope and Healing Psychotherapy, LLC. Having a therapist with a heart to heal is an important place to start. While her focus is on helping children, adolescents, and adults recovering sexual trauma and other forms of abuse, Jennifer has a strong background in working with diverse populations with a variety of needs. With over 17 years serving the mental health needs of the community, she has worked with veterans and military families, young children, teens and older adults. Her passion is helping people recover from trauma. Jennifer started her own practice to be able to better serve the community longterm and to be able to focus on the work she enjoys professionally. Her office is a safe place where you can share any thoughts, feelings, or fears you face. Nothing will shock her, and you will always feel supported. If the office setting isn’t for you, we can lace up your shoes and walk (or jog) around the streets of Leonardtown. Jennifer’s top priority is making you feel comfortable.

The Advantages of Regenerative Periodontal Therapy According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), more than 50 percent of Americans over the age of 30 have periodontitis, a more advanced form of periodontal disease and don’t even know it. In its early stages, periodontal disease is called gingivitis, with symptoms that include swollen, inflamed gums that may bleed during tooth brushing. When allowed to progress, gingivitis can turn into periodontal disease, also known as periodontitis. How Is Periodontitis Treated? There are a range of options available for treating periodontitis depending on the severity of the disease. Initially, a deep cleaning may be recommended to remove the infection and allow your gums

to heal. In some advanced stages, the instruments used to perform the deep cleaning may not be able to reach the actual bacteria that is leading to the problem. If the disease is more advanced, a regenerative periodontal therapy procedure may be the most effective treatment approach.

new bone and healthy gum tissue. Eliminating existing bacteria and regenerating bone and tissue helps to reduce the pockets between your teeth and gums and restore your mouth to optimal health.

What is Regenerative Periodontal Therapy?

A regenerative periodontal therapy procedure is used to reverse the effects of advanced periodontal disease. When the infection has already begun to destroy the underlying bone that supports your teeth, this type of therapy is recommended to: • Remove bacteria from beneath your gum line • Regenerate lost bone and tissue • Reshape the bones that support your teeth • Prevent future gum damage

Periodontal disease and the inflammation that it generates within your body are associated with a number of very serious health issues, including diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, and even cancer. Because gum disease is progressive, early treatment is always best. If you have symptoms associated with periodontitis, you may be a candidate for regenerative periodontal therapy. Schedule a comprehensive periodontal screening right away. Gain peace of mind that you are not at risk. My friendly team is standing by to help answer all of your questions. A referral is not necessary. Call 301-638-4867 or visit us online at www.drkarlsmith.com.

Who is a Good Candidate?

People with severe or advanced gum disease are usually good candidates for regenerative periodontal therapy. Common symptoms of advanced gum disease include: • Red, swollen, or bleeding gums • Deep pockets between your teeth and gums • Damaged or loose teeth • Loose gum tissue • New tooth spacing or the appearance of “getting longer” • Pain while eating and chewing • Bad Breath • Receding gums

What Should I Expect?

179

Regenerative periodontal therapy can be done with local anesthesia or a comfortable sedation. During the procedure, the gum tissue is folded back to remove the disease-causing bacteria. Depending on the degree of damage, membranes, bone grafts, or tissue-stimulating proteins can also be used to stimulate your body’s natural ability to regenerate

Dr. Karl Smith has been in dental practice for more than 34 years. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1981 and immediately entered General Practice in the US Air Force Dental Corps. He successfully completed three years of advanced education in the specialty of Periodontics with additional training in IV Sedation and Dental Implants in 1992, at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio and Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center. He won the John Pritchard Prize for outstanding research which included looking for a vaccine against bacteria that cause periodontal disease. Year after year, Dr. Smith has been consistently voted Top Dentist by Washingtonian Magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine, and Virginia Living.

Q: What do you love most about your profession?

Being able to empower patients to lead healthier and longer lives through education and treatment. Also, staying active in my community by volunteering free health care and lectures to those in need or just looking to lead healthier lives. Q: What sets your practice apart?

“There is nothing else like UltraSlim® on the market and can be used by anyone, from a Victoria Secret model to those who struggle with excess weight.” Tell us about your happiest professional moment:

There are many, but I love telling my patients to wear tighter garments at their first treatment session because they will notice their clothes will be looser after the first 32-minute treatment. Also, we have never had anyone lose less than two and a half inches on their first visit (most lose three to five inches).

We are known for spending quality time with patients, which enables trust and correct diagnoses. My physical exams usually last 90 minutes and a follow up appointment can last up to 70 minutes. Q: What inspired you to add cosmetic services? My practice is based on being one of the few in the DMV area to offer the safest, immediate FDA approved, cutting edge technology for fat loss: UltraSlim®. f you’ve ever tried to lose fat by getting into shape, leading a healthier lifestyle or struggled with problem areas of fat resistant to diet and exercise, you know how hard it can be to see results, particularly for adults and women post menopause. Welcome to UltraSlim®. UltraSlim is an FDA approved, noninvasive fat removal and skin rejuvenation treatment using a sophisticated, non-UV light photomodulation device designed by NASA. This light stimulates the body’s natural breakdown of fats via opening pores on fat cell membranes and the fat leaks right out. UltraSlim® is the only non-invasive procedure approved by the FDA for immediate fat loss, with instant results in 32 minutes. This is guaranteed, or your money back. Patients usually lose on average 3.5 inches and 1.6 liters of fat during a 32-minute treatment. Compare this to the most popular competition, SculpSure or Coolsculpting, which take about three months to lose a stick of butter size of fat by killing fat cells and also carry the added potential for side effects such as pain and infection.

UltraSlim® is an FDA approved, non-invasive fat removal and skin rejuvenation treatment using a sophisticated, non-UV light photomodulation device designed by NASA.

“There are no medications, no side effects, no pain, no surgery, and no exercise required.” Not only does UltraSlim® have a two-inch fat loss at your first treatment guarantee, but there are no medications, no side effects, no pain, no surgery, and no exercise required. It is the safest weight loss procedure there is with a risk one side effect category – this means the procedure is as safe as a tongue depressor. UltraSlim® also works by stimulating collagen and elastin in the skin therefore it can also offer a non-surgical face-lift that can take years off your face for a younger look, and a non-surgical butt lift to help rid your legs of unwanted cellulite. All patients begin with a consultation by a board-certified physician during which time you will learn about the technology, how it is used and how it works. Treatment usually begins on your first visit. The first treatment will last under an hour, so measurements can be taken. Following sessions will be 45 minutes, allowing 32-minutes of light time and dressing/ undressing time.

To schedule a consultation for UltraSlim or UltraSmooth at the Waldorf office, please call 301-472-4290 or visit ultraslimwaldorf.com.

How to Survive the New Normal: Tele-Schooling On any given normal day, I am a teacher and a parent – separately. Right now, in addition to my job and like many of you, I am doing both roles as a teacher-parent due to schoolfrom-home, or as I affectionally like to call it, “tele-schooling.” It is a hard balance for everyone. By now, most families have routines in place and spaces set up for virtual learning, but the question remains… How do we survive this new normal? A teacher to one is a teacher to all. From what I am hearing and seeing every day, I thought I would offer some tips for both students and parents as we work through virtual learning together.

Take brain breaks! “Recess” is important for all ages. Get outside, read an actual paper book, and get some exercise! Reduce surrounding distractions: Wear headphones and if possible, try to work in a comfortable, quiet place. This is especially important so students can engage in their online meetings and their online work.

Parents: Foster Independence: Parents, now that you have helped your children navigate through some of the technology challenges, try fostering some independence. Let your children have productive struggle so their teachers can see what they know and are capable of. Help your kids stay social: Remember that

Focus on time management: A schedule with assignments due each day is key. Stick to a regular schedule and get the work done that day. Focus on time management so you don’t have to deal with late assignments adding up and getting overwhelming.

important. Try to get your children in sports for lunch time. Celebrate the wins: Last but certainly not least, celebrate the wins! Let your children know when they are doing a good job. Try and stay positive and have patience! This is new for them, too.

Move Beyond the Seat at the Table How to Fully Engage Employee Voices In this current national climate, the voices of the people are being heard. Earlier this summer, in the wake of the social injustice against George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and others who lost their lives at the hands of those hired to protect and serve, people spoke out all over the planet. Not only were their voices heard, changes followed! We witnessed changes in how we view national holidays – Juneteenth is now a recognized holiday for many companies. We witnessed changes in sporting events with the elimination of the confederate flag at NASCAR and the addition of the Black National Anthem in major league football

games. We witnessed proposals for changing laws in policing and criminal justice system This movement fueled corporate America as well as thousands of organizations to issue public statements condemning social injustice and discriminatory treatment of minorities, standing in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Wonderfully, many companies have moved beyond the statements to identifying action steps needed to embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion. As many companies continue to engage and create a diverse environment, the power of the employee’s voice

cannot be overlooked. Employees need a platform where they are empowered and encouraged to speak. Therefore, companies must be focused on promoting diversity and inclusion, while reducing bias. Although this is no easy task, it can be accomplished with targeted and measurable planning. Creating an environment that embraces diversity is great, however, it is not enough to just create an environment and leave it unattended. An unattended garden is likely to grow weeds and can adversely affect the other plants in the garden. Likewise, creating an environment that embraces diversity but does little to nothing to move the initiative forward, is likely to lose momentum and die. Companies must embrace this often-overlooked part of inclusion – the voice of the employee. Companies thrive because of their employees. Innovation, creativity, processes, infrastructure, technology, are just a few of the contributions provided by employees. Employees are the lifelines of the company and are critical to survival and sustainability. If employees feel their voice does not matter to the company, they are less likely to contribute to the success of the company. So, where do companies begin? To answer this question, you must ask another question – what do our employees need to be successful and feel valued? The answer can only come from the employees. Data is a necessary part of any company change because data can provide a great picture of where the company currently stands and allows for predictions and plans to be made around where the company wants to go. Gathering data from your employees through channels such as employee satisfaction

surveys, town halls, focus groups, and virtual suggestion boxes, is a start. Any of these channels can be effective at hearing the voices of the employees. Of course, hearing the voices of the employees is not enough. Companies must turn their employee voices into ideas, strategies, and goals. Change must be the response to hearing employees. Companies must move beyond providing just a seat at the table to allowing employees to speak and be heard. For some companies, this may be happening organically. Yet for others, there must be an intentional effort to move the needle forward. One thing is evident though – the time is now for companies to shift to an employee-centered approach for business to remain competitive.

A sophomore at St. Mary’s Ryken High School, Sydnie is the founder of Live Your Future Educated, Inc. Tell us about your passion for giving back to the community at such a young age:

I am a 15-year-old podcaster who is hosting an international broadcast called Perfect Timing. Like other teens, I understand Generation Z is more likely to use social media to communicate, share, and shop. Perfect Timing Podcast was established for the sole purpose of serving young adults by giving them a safe place where they can feel free to use their voices to promote, educate and bring awareness to what is important to them. Youth empowerment comes in many forms and I want to use my platform to let my peers know that their voice matters and is heard. If they see me doing it, then my actions may inspire one more person to gain enough confidence to start something that they are passionate about. I once read that a man’s gift makes room for him — God has put a gift or talent in every person, one that the world can make room for. I want to be a part of God’s perfect timing story because we all have one.

onyourmotivation

What motivated you to start Perfect Timing Podcast? What is the focus?

During the pandemic, I started to feel lost. I did not know how or what to do with all this free time. So, in mid-May, my mother challenged my sister and I to start a YouTube channel to talk with friends about how they were feeling. In early June, I kicked off my podcast and it is one of the most passionate undertakings that I have ever done. It is truly rewarding and has given me so much joy and hope for our future. Each of my episodes feature in-depth conversations about topics the youth are passionate about and occasionally guest star top experts from around the county. I want listeners to be inspired and learn how the youth are taking charge of their own dreams as they tell their stories, in their own words. I recently featured Faith Blackstone, 17-year-old activist and artist behind the iconic portrait of George Floyd and James Jobson-Larkin, 15-year-old ballet dancer and musician, who shared his experiences and love for the arts. I invited Dr. Howard Haft, Executive Director at Maryland Primary Care Program, to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on teenagers. Recently, I also had the honor of speaking with Mrs. Julie Kent, Artistic Director of The Washington Ballet on finding hope and perseverance through dance. My fellow teens and I are breaking barriers now and will continue to do so in the future.

on onstarting your yourownpodcast

What has this experience been like? Talk about your struggles and successes:

Your voice and dreams matter – do not let anyone take away your voice!”

Since starting my podcast, I have met some amazing trailblazers and had the opportunity to build new partnerships. Hearing my guests speak about things they are passionate about has given me more than one reason to continue. If one person’s voice can inspire another person, then my work is not in vein. As far as struggles, I would say with every new venture comes obstacles we do not plan for. Finding and securing sponsors to support what you are doing is a challenge when you are confined to your home and not able to network outside of it. My reward is knowing I am using my talents to make a difference in bringing youth on my platform to discuss topics, dreams, and achievements that matter to them. Many say that they are proud of me, but my true reward comes from above.

Calvert Author Releases Debut Novel, “The Eves” When was the last time you read a novel that was perfect for our time? When have you experienced a novel that treats families, race, gender, sexuality, and age honestly? When did a novel impact you and your relationships, and prompt meaningful discussions?

This summer, Calvert resident Grace Sammon, well-known educator, school reformer, consultant, speaker, entrepreneur, and author of educational books launched her debut novel, “The Eves.” The Eves is a multi-generational novel portraying lives lived well and lives in transition. Filled with poignancy and humor, “The Eves” captures the conversations we wish we had had with our parents, if we had the opportunity, and the lessons we would want to impart to our children, if they were ready to listen. It begins in 1868, when a mule and 40 acres of rich Southern Maryland farmland were given to Tobias and Delores Thatcher, newly freed slaves. Four generations later, “The Grange” is the home of Thatcher descendants and a group of women of color determined to spend their senior years challenging themselves and others. It is an ecologically sound and emotionally explosive place. After a single visit to The Grange, the psychologically complex and damaged Jessica Barnet sets out to catalogue the oral histories of the women. Jessica has given up on her ambition and her appearance, but not her lies, vodka, or her sense of loss and guilt. What we witness, through the vividly drawn characters, is an unexpected story. Through plot twists and turns, we learn the truth of Jessica’s lies. We also come to know the women of The Grange and the meaning of being on a life-long journey. Together we learn, love, live, and let go. Experience how coming to The Grange means leaving your mark on this Earth. Learn that when our stories are told, truly, everything changes. “The Eves” helps answer the question – are we ever really “done?”

law&finance By Colleen Sinclair Prosser, Estate Planning Attorney

Estate Planning is Life Planning What is the first thing that leaps to most people’s minds when they think about estate planning? A will. We have all seen the dramatic scenes in films of yesteryear: the reading of the will. The truth of the matter is that the will is no longer the focal point of estate planning. A well-rounded estate plan includes four documents: a revocable living trust, a general durable power of attorney, a health care power of attorney, a living will and a will. Probably the least important of these is the actual will. Why? Because a will is only effective at death, while the other three documents have an impact during your lifetime.

In order to be effective, a will must be admitted to probate. Probate is a process to transfer clear title of property from the person who died to the people designated in the will. As with most legal processes, probate can be costly, time-consuming, and public. Assets that go through this probate process are a matter of public record, open to the prying eyes of nosey neighbors and relatives, as well as con artists. Assets which are in a trust do not have to go through the probate process. In theory, when you place your assets in your trust, the legal title is no longer vested in you as an individual, but in the trustee of

the trust. As a result, when you die, no probate process is necessary to transfer title to the property. Thus, the trust bypasses the will and the probate process entirely. A “revocable living trust” is a trust, which is created while you are living, and which you can revoke or amend at any time. A well-drafted trust can be extremely flexible and can facilitate management of your assets while you are well, during a period of incapacity, and long after your death. While you are alive and well, you would be the trustee and manage the assets in your trust. Upon your incapacity or death, someone designated by you would take over as trustee and would manage the trust, making investment and distribution decisions in accordance with the instructions you set forth in the trust, providing continuity in asset management. In a general durable power of attorney, you appoint someone to make decisions for property not controlled by the trust. For example, your “agent” could file income tax returns for you, change beneficiary designations on life insurance and retirement plans, etc. The agent can also transfer any forgotten property into the trust. Again, this provides for a smoother transition during periods of incapacity. In a health care power of attorney, you appoint someone to make medical decisions for you in the event you can no longer do so for yourself. With a living will, you may express any wishes you have regarding life-prolonging measures. Finally, the will disposes of any property which remains titled in your name rather than the trust. The typical will simply is a “pour over” into the trust. The most important role of the will is the appointment of guardians for minor children. How to Lose the Rate this Holiday Season Nope, it’s not a typo! Cedar Point can help you drop some excess rate this holiday season. For one week only, we have an auto loan deal you won’t want to miss. We know that when you’re in the market for a vehicle, many people choose to finance at the dealership because it is convenient. But that convenience can end up costing hundreds or even thousands of dollars over the life of the loan because of the high interest rate. Did you know that by refinancing with Cedar Point, you can save money, and we may be able to reduce your monthly payment?

Let’s start with the basics. What is refinancing? In a nutshell, you’re paying off your old loan and taking out a new loan with new terms. Refinancing can lower your monthly payment and save you interest expense. In many cases, you also have the opportunity to extend the life of the loan to reduce your monthly payment even more. This is how Cedar Point can help you save. Even better, we are dropping our auto rates for one week, from Nov. 27 though Dec. 4, 2020. Beginning on Friday, Nov. 27, and lasting for one week only, Cedar Point will reduce new and used auto loan* rates by one full percentage point for new online and in-person

auto loan applications. That’s huge! Whatever low rate you and your vehicle would normally qualify for will be further reduced by a full 1.00% during the promotional period. Good Habits Make Great Budgets The definition of habit is an acquired behavior pattern regularly followed until it has become almost involuntary. In other words, something we do repeatedly until it becomes part of us. It becomes so normal, so regular, it is almost involuntary. People are creatures of habits. From friendships in our lives and the food we eat to our daily rhythms and our spending patterns. Some habits can obviously be unhealthy, but habits used in a positive way can help us establish great rhythms in our lives.

A financial budget is a great habit. A spending pattern written down monthly, so we are prepared for upcoming events. As the year comes to an end, it is time to start focusing on our 2021 budget. Let us look at what we experienced in 2020 and plan for 2021. First, get out your pen or pencil and make a list of special occasions – the events that happen every year, but we may forget to plan for, like birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and even “Back to School.” These events happen in our lives annually, but they somehow sneak up on us every time. Not this year! I am going to help you plan for each special event in your life with a monthly budget. It will start by making small adjustments, changing habits, and setting financial goals that include these annual “surprises.” I can show you how to make a zero-based monthly budget before the new year begins so you can see where your money is going and find out how much you can save each month. The thought of a budget does not

need to be stressful. It is a good habit that alleviates financial surprises. Let me guide you into financial peace!
