Who we are
South Lanarkshire College is a one campus college that is focused on our community and you; our staff, students, applicants and partners.
We deliver life-long learning opportunities that enable local people, businesses and communities to support new levels of achievement. We believe everyone – regardless of identity or background –should have access to learning opportunities that enable them to meet their goals.
Our vision is to be Scotland’s leading college – delivering excellence and we do this by preparing learners well for their future, in an outstanding learning environment and inclusive community.
Our inclusive, people-centred culture is the key to our success. We welcome all and create the motivating and energising atmosphere of positivity that everyone requires to keep achieving.

Why has our brand changed?
Our brand has been redefined and updated to ensure that it aligns to our strategic direction as a college and effectively showcases South Lanarkshire College with our stakeholders.
The updates below are based on market research with internal and external stakeholders which ensures that our key messaging and overall brand portrays the welcoming, inclusive and community driven organisation that South Lanarkshire College is.

Our brand statements describe our brand in a nutshell. They capture who we are as a college in the community and help us to inspire and welcome people to South Lanarkshire College.

When should I use this?
We encourage anyone writing promotional content for the college, such as social media posts to use #OurSLC. We also encourage staff to utilise content within the brand toolkit which can be accessed by clicking the button

Although our logo looks the same, our brand look and feel has changed. Examples of our brand elements and how they should be used to create the brand look and feel are shown below and on pages 6 and 7.

External use - Proxima Nova
Proxima Nova is a strong, clean, modern typeface. It delivers impact, brilliant legibility and consistency to our brand.
Internal use - Arial
The recommended font usage for internal documents and presentations is Arial. The base body copy font should be 11pt for documents.

Our associated brands are shown below. These brands are used usually in conjunction with South Lanarkshire College branding, although from time to time may also be used on their own to promote a South Lanarkshire College service or associated brand. Graphic device
Slices of the octagon expand the graphic language of communications. The highlighted slices can use any secondary or tertiary colour plus light grey. White can also be used to create a negative “cut-out”.
