Gradual re-opening of rec facilities

LEAMINGTON — The Municipality of Leamington has issued a plan to gradually re-open the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre.

The complex remains closed to the public as Leamington continues to host the COVID-19 Assessment Centre in the gymnasium as well as the emergency isolation pods in the Highbury Canco rink.

Limited access is currently available for ice and pool rentals with organizations and groups that have specific COVID-19 guidelines in place. Booking requests can be directed to bookings@ leamington.ca. The introduction of some outdoor fitness classes will also be allowed.

In the fall, the municipality will introduce use of the gym, weight room, courts, pool and fitness studio by advance registration only and in adherence with capacity and physical distancing guidelines.

Return to regular programming will not occur until 2021, with adherence to capacity and physical distancing guidelines.

More information is available on the website at leamington.ca/COVID-19.
