Music On the 42 to return to amphitheatre
LEAMINGTON — At the April 12 meeting of Leamington Council, CAO Peter Neufeld presented a plan for the Music On the 42 Summer Concert Series at the Sunset Amphitheatre at Seacliff Park.
In 2019, the municipality partnered with The Bank Theatre to bring several live summer concerts to the stage at Seacliff Park.
“It’s important for residents, tourists and neighbouring communities to see what a wonderful venue we have in the Sunset Amphitheatre,” said Neufeld.
He was asking approval from council for the municipality to once again partner with The Bank Theatre to bring summer concerts back to the amphitheatre.
Council had approved in the 2022 budget for $100,000 to be spent on presenting the concerts.
Neufeld said that there would be fewer concerts with more sought-after acts, with hopes to have a concert in June, one on Canada Day, another in August and one in September.
Council passed the recommendation unanimously.
