By Deanna Bertrand

LEAMINGTON – Fashion, food and fun was on the menu Friday night, March 6 for the #Yes Ma’am Fashion Show to raise funds for a contrast mammography machine for Erie Shores HealthCare.

The event was held at Mastronardi Estate Winery and featured local vendors, from wine, produce, food, decorations and flowers to fashions.

Fashion trends on the runway were modeled by area children, teens, men and women and were from designers Aggie & Francois and local retailers Clothing Bar, Willabee’s, Milana’s Menswear, Young Fabulous Children’s Boutique and Freeds of Windsor.

Christine Colautti, Executive Director of Erie Shores Health Foundation (ESHC), said they hoped to reach $100,000 from the event with the monies earmarked for the “first of its kind” contrast mammography machine.

When totals were in from the evening, the fashion show had surpassed the goal with a total of $130,000 raised.

The Erie Shores Health Foundation capital fundraising campaign, Care Happens Here, has a goal of $15 million over the next several years to improve Health Information Systems and the Diagnostic Imaging Department at the local hospital.

Colautti said they have already brought in $1 million of that goal.
