Legal Clinics

Southwestern’s Clinical Program allows students to apply their classroom learning to real legal issues spanning a variety of practice areas. Through the Clinics, students develop skills such as client interviewing, legal issue spotting, negotiating with government entities and other stakeholders, case management, document drafting, legal strategy, and more. Students enroll in Clinics as they would any other class, earning credits toward their degree, and in some cases, fulfilling concentration requirements. Practicing under the supervision of their professors and licensed attorneys, Southwestern students help bridge the justice gap for individuals in need around Los Angeles.
