Additional Experiential Learning Opportunities
Practicum: Through the Amicus Project Practicum, students draft appellate briefs for submission to federal court.
Public-Service Program: All Southwestern students are encouraged to complete a minimum of 75 pro bono service hours through their time at Southwestern. This provides an invaluable service to clients in the community and allows students practical training in critical legal practice skills.
Judge Harry Pregerson Public-Service Initiatives: Through a robust day-long program, the JHP Boot Camp helps students develop skills for public-interest law practice while simultaneously building community within Southwestern’s public-interest-minded students, staff, and faculty. JHP Public-Service Fellowships provide financial assistance to select students dedicated to working with underserved communities and causes.
