Agri, Dairy & Livestock Fest a three day event was organized in Raipur, Chhattisgarh from 7-9 December 2012 at BTI Ground. The event was organized by Smart Events in association with Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry- Government of Chhattisgarh and Progressive Dairy Farmers Association Chhattisgarh. The event was also supported by Department of Animal Husbandry and Livestock Development, Department of Agriculture, Gau Sewa Aayog and Raipur Sahkari Dugdh Utpadak Sangh (Devbhog). The first edition of the event was set against the backdrop of CG's Agri and Dairy Sector emerging as growing sector in state.The primary purpose of this fest was to create awareness about Agriculture, Dairy and Livestock among farmers andn also enlighten them with the advanced knowledge in the field of Agri, Dairy and Livestock. The perseverant management team's efforts were applauded by the key invitees, visitors and big wigs of the Industry. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Sh. Chandrashekhar Sahu Hon'ble Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Govt. of Chhattisgarh with the industry representatives and senior government official joining him. In his inaugural address he asked all farmers to adopt modern dairy technology to enhance their business volumes.He asked farmers to diversify into horticulture, dairy farming and other allied sector to increase their rural income. He also assured full support to farmers in betterment of dairy farming in state. In this exhibition around 104 National and International eminent companies from Agriculture, Farm Machinery, Veterinary Pharmaceutical, Animal Husbandry, Genetics, Dairy Farming, Processing, Financial Institutions, Bank sector participated to showcase their products and services in the stalls. Over 22,000 visitors from all segments of agriculture, dairy and livestock visited the three days expo. The halls bustled with lively discussion between the buyers and exhibitors. Most of the exhibitors were satisfied with the participation. In this show a three days workshop cum seminar on Agriculture and Dairy was organized in which experts from Indra Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalya, Kamdhenu University, GADVASU Ludhiana and different companies delivered lectures.The workshop was inaugurated by Mayor of Raipur, Dr. Smt. Kiranmayi Nayak. In her speech praised the organizers and dairy farmers association for the good work done and advised them to continue same in future for development of agri, dairy and livestock sector.The seminar attracted not only dairy farmers but also other professionals from real estate, power, mineral, it and non agri sectors as many of them are planning to foray into agri, dairy and allied sectors. The event was Sponsored by Pune based DSK Milkotronics as Gold Sponsor and Sarda Dairy as Bronze Sponsor. Hon'ble Governor Sh. Shekhar Dutt was the Chief Guest for Valedictory Session. Sh. Shekhar Dutt , Hon'ble Governor in his speech emphasized on the need of pure and rich milk in the state. He expressed his gratitude towards the organizers of the event and believed that this fest will definitely prove to be a milestone in CH Agriculture and Dairy business.
