There have been unfortunate accidents in which a vehicle that commutes young students operated by private educational institutions in South Korea capsized after the accident, killing several young students. Small-scale private education institutes operate school vehicles that are not fully guaranteed for safety. It is right to use a safe and regulated school vehicle, but it is a heavy financial burden for small educational institutions to keep it.
To solve these regional problems, I designed an electric vehicle for students to commute to school that is safe and can adjust its maintenance costs depending on economic conditions. Basically, it combines skateboard frame structure with circular space frame structure. The tighter the structure of the space frame, the better it can protect passengers from side impact and rollover accidents.

The vehicle is operated by the driven by wire system, and the Picardini rail system allows users to purchase and upgrade budget-appropriate amenities regardless of the time of purchase. self-driving system modules can be installed in existing vehicles without any inconvenience even if new new models of new technologies are released in the future.
The rails can be equipped with modules from various standardized vendors and can be equipped with convenience equipment that meets the user’s conditions and preferences.
This example shows Logitech steering wheel module, Phillips air purifier module, LG display module and GoPro black box module.
If autonomous driving technology is commercialized and stability is guaranteed, autonomous driving system modules can be mounted on the rail in the future.

ing an electric motorcycle travels for several days and nights, the electric motorcycle may have limitations in its uptime and travel distance
This motorcycle has an expandable slot that can be fitted with an auxiliary battery, which can overcome this limit.

The drastic omission or substitution of these details is an easy way to introduce a new feel to the design of the car. I did not try to omit these details for an excuse of an unclear new technology.

Choosing the 1904 Mercedes Simplex, my aim for the design is to preserve its heritage as a high-performance vehicle and the high viewpoint which is one of the merits of a veteran car regarding the seat position. By designing a transformable structure, elevating the cabin and adjusting the wheelbase and width of the car, it provides a different experience both in autonomous mode and driving mode.

Inspiration finds me in three-dimensional forms. I record them in my sketches immediately. To me, sketches are methods of communication but mainly modeling blueprints for myself to translate ideas three-dimensionally on the spot. A designer’s final proposal should not be two-dimensional. I sketch until the construction plan for my design is clear. While working on numerous projects, shifting roles between designer and modeler, I learned there are many ways of creating different surfaces with the same line and even if a car consists of the same graphical elements, the results can
be very different depending on the characteristics of that surface. Justifying the characteristics of a surface through precise planning is extremely important and this role should not be restricted only to the modeler. A good designer must be effective during all stages of design – from sketch ideation, 2-D rendering, and 3-D interpretation. The design process must be managed in relation to the designer’s intentions. The result is always three-dimensional.
