The back to the future has always been one of my favorite film trilogy and I remember that when I was a child, I watched it over and over again. I liked everything in that movie, cast, story, vehicles, gadgets, and even costumes
I had no idea about car design at that time, but I felt that the DeLorean in the movie has futuristic aspects like gull wing doors, brushed shiny metal body panel and illuminating blue lights from the roof through the rear fender to rear bumper and it was really fascinating to me and captivate my young heart.
There were many other motivations and influences to me, but I believe that the back to the future film trilogy is my first inspiration that leads me to do what I am doing now. 2 _ Work Sample. Chan Sik Park 2015
The DeLorean DMC-12 (commonly referred to simply as the DeLorean as it was the only model ever produced by the company) is a sports carmanufactured by John DeLorean’s DeLorean Motor Company for

the American market from 1981–83. The car features gull-wing doors and an innovative fiberglass chassis and underbody structure, along with a brushed stainless steel body.

To me, sketches are methods of communication but mainly modeling blueprints for myself to translate ideas three-dimensionally on the spot. A designer’s final proposal should not be two-dimensional. I sketch until the construction plan for my design is 2015 Chan Sik Park. Work Sample _ 23
clear. While working on numerous projects, shifting roles between designer and modeler, I learned there are many ways of creating different surfaces with the same line and even if a car consists of the same graphical elements, the results can be very different
depending on the characteristics of that surface. Justifying the characteristics of a surface through precise planning is extremely important and this role should not be restricted only to the modeler. A good designer must be effective during all stages
of design – from sketch ideation, 2-D rendering, and 3-D interpretation. The design process must be managed in relation to the designer’s intentions. The result is always three-dimensional. 24 _ Work Sample. Chan Sik Park 2015
