COME
At Hartwick College, you’ll receive an extremely high-quality education at a fraction of the cost of other private colleges. Our tuition and standard fees are $22,000 per year, room and board is $16,000 per year, and we still offer up to $10,000 in merit scholarships. Plus, you may be eligible for Hartwick need-based grants and state and federal grants, as well as loans and work study. There’s no catch, just clear and direct pricing.
This tuition realignment is our next step in furthering our commitment to our students’ overall well-being. You’ll be given the challenge of rigorous courses and time for fun outside the classroom. You’ll have opportunities to build your resume and the space to explore who you want to become. You’re seeking just the right balance—and Hartwick is where you’ll find it.

PEACE
LESS NOISE
Think there’s not much to do in a small town in the foothills of the Catskills? Think again. Hartwick’s campus sits atop a picturesque hill between two worlds: peaceful, abundant nature and a quaint downtown (talk about balance). Here, you’ll find opportunities to slow down in a fast-paced world and to try something new every day.
Connect with friends through 60+ student organizations, and activities and events each semester. Venture into the great outdoors year-round: hike, bike, kayak, ski or snowboard. Head downtown for Oneonta’s famous cold-cheese pizza, the weekly farmers market or the Main Street shops.
Choose your adventure—or seek serenity—at every turn.
