M.S. IN INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT The Master of Science in International Transportation Management (ITM) program provides a high-quality and competitive graduate education for individuals who are pursuing careers in international business with a special emphasis on international trade and transportation. The program is a 34-credit curriculum with five possible tracks and the option of two certificates and/or a USCG License. Classes are available both on campus and online.

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATES U.S. COAST GUARD (USCG) LICENSE* The U.S. Coast Guard Third Mate Merchant Marine Deck License requires an additional 62 credit hours and successful completion of the licensing exam. Coursework for the license cannot be completed online and usually demands full-time study.

INTERNATIONAL CHARTER PARTIES (ASBA) CERTIFICATE In conjunction with the Association of Ship Brokers and Agents (ASBA), SUNY Maritime offers certification in international ship chartering for six credit hours (standalone or within the 34-credit ITM program) of coursework. As a widely-respected industry standard, the ASBA International Charter Parties Certificate is a significant advantage for students pursuing brokerage careers.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE Job growth in supply chain management has been steadily rising for a decade. For 21 credit hours (standalone), or an additional six credit hours in conjunction with the ITM program (for a total of 40 credit hours), you can earn your certificate and increase employer appeal in a rapidly expanding industry.

ROBERT EDMONDS, D.B.A. CHAIR, GLOBAL BUSINESS AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT A 25-year veteran in the fields of marketing and sales, Dr. Edmonds received his Doctor of Business Administration from California Southern University. He specializes in international business, drawing upon both his research and experience to create case studies for his management courses.

CORNELIA MCCARTHY, PH.D. GRADUATE PROGRAM COORDINATOR, INTERNATIONAL TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT Dr. McCarthy received a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University. She has extensive experience in research, working for the National Bureau of Economic Research, for Citibank, and as associate editor of the Journal of International Money and Finance. In the ITM program, she teaches Economics of International Trade and works with students on planning their programs.

VIRGINIA FERRITTO, PH.D. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Dr. Ferritto received her Ph.D. in organization and management from Capella University. As an executive vice president with the Overseas Sourcing Group, she oversaw production and logistics on an international scale, and she teaches from that experience in her courses on transportation and organizational management.

REDUCED TUITION RATES Reduced tuition is offered to both in-state students and in-region students. The region includes AL, CT, DE, FL, GA, LA, MD, MS, NC, NJ, PA, PR, RI, SC, VA, and Washington, D.C.
